Ehhh... What exactly are the Chinese privileges they are talking about? They always use this term but can anyone give me an example?
actually in sg the majority race does all the heavy lifting n socialise the cost
it is the minority that hv more privileges.. this is also the case in china now

Seriously, I think the youths have a bigger issue in this, even they are the ones who discriminate grades, which school the others are going to, whether SAP, independent or neighbourhood schools. If youths can't even tell what they have been taught/ influenced by their parents is wrong, what do they really understand by racism?

"Those in the majority race have to acknowledge the privilege they have. "

I would like this 18 yr old kid to come tell me what is the privilege we the majority race got.

Prove it.

You give me crumbs and you expect me to be grateful while you enjoy the cream.
You said they are crumbs but I see them as generous handouts open solely for the Malays.

On the other hand, we Chinese get nothing.

Be grateful.

Yes. He/She should make a checklist of the Chinese privileges, so we can see what privileges we should get. And if there's any we don't get in the list, we can claim it from MIW.

And you don't see it as discrimination?

LKY already made it clear the reason why we cannot hold a machine gun. Is that a benefit for the Malays?

no i do not bcos it was a diff time n there r practical geopolitical considerations n tensions tt cannot be ignored.. like i said they r even benefits bcos after all it is conscription tt not everyone is for

screaming rhetoric n discrimination while ignoring reality is not wat Sg is about n wont achieve progress in the real world, that kind of thing belongs in the realm of academia, faiths n religion ~~

How come in school canteens no such seperation, how come in kopitiams and food courts or restaurant s no muslim and non muslim only corner? Its all in the in mind bro.

I dont see vegan buddhists complaining people eat meat beside them, or hinddus complaining people eat nasi daging beside them. Its all tolerence and acceptance, we are singapore
Food deliverers need to have bags for halal food only. In halal restaurants u cannot bring your own cake in for celebration

Voices of Youth: Listen, learn from those who have experienced racism

We like to think that Singapore is a racially harmonious country, but we cannot take that for granted.

Those in the majority race have to acknowledge the privilege they have. They do not live the experiences of the minority groups and may not understand why certain things they say and do can offend or hurt others.

This makes it all the more important to listen to and uplift those who have experienced racism, instead of denying or turning a blind eye to it.

Instead of taking a defensive stance, those in the majority race should listen and reflect, then ask if what they want to say is an effort to absolve culpability or to accept and change. Only then can we build a racially harmonious country.

okay so after so many claiming the existence of Chinese privilege.. can those asserting this claim come out with a list of Chinese privilege that only Chinese can do while all other race can’t?
