i have a 65 inch xiaomi mi tv 4k@60hz and a 65 inch LG OLED at 4k@120hz with dolby vision and HDRI had a 4k60p tv w/o hdr, should I go for a 4k60p tv with hdr?
yea if i put it side by side, the colors will be different. i watch netflix HDR and dolby content on both tvs. the xiaomi in my bedroom and the OLED in my living room.
To be real honest, both looks fine to me. the xiaomi only cost me $650+ after discounts while the oled cost more than 6 times of it. Does the color, refresh rate worth the 6 times? No.
The oled tv definitely look nicer if u put side by side but to a normal user, it really doesnt matter.
Save your money unless of course u can afford the best. i can afford it fine thats why for my living room i wanna put the best TV back then in year 2020 since the living room is where guests will be. So for my bedroom viewing, which only me and my family uses it, i get the cheapest 4k smart tv i can find..which is the xiaomi model..which is good as well for netflix. No qualms about it. Even though my eyes look at the oled, when i switch to my room, its not a total change.
Its the rule of diminishing returns. If you want a very high quality stuff, the price over value does not substantiate. For majority of users, a non OLED 4k@60hz will suffice and cant tell the difference much.
Of course there will be those hardcore or those wanna defend their purchases of an expensive product that will come up with alot of reasons and excuses to make their money worth and "defending their purchases" haha..
i am speaking on a non biased level even though i own premium products.
Even my chairs i went to buy the best i could fine,, such as the Herman Miller Aeron. Is it really so much better than other mesh chairs? probably not. Just aesthetics.
