Hi, I'm new to BOC and opened a SuperSaver account last week. I just received my account number today, though I have not yet received the pin to set up internet banking. If I make a FAST transfer to the account today, but link the account to PayNow a few days later after I receive the pin for internet banking access, will my account balance prior to the PayNow linkage be able to enjoy the bonus rate under SuperSaver as well?

I am an existing BOC customer with internet banking when I open my SuperSaver account. But I cannot recall if I link PayNow to it on the same day of transfer or days after.

Logically it should count as long as the PayNow linkage is done within the same month. My reference is from FAQ #16

But if u do not have access to internet banking , how do u check your funds are credited to your account correctly
I will feel uneasy unless I login to check the funds are sitting in my account

Thanks! I could call up the bank hotline to confirm that the bank receives my FAST transfer of $1 in my account before I transfer a larger amount. Do you know if there is any cutoff time for BOC to value FAST transfer on the same day?

Also note that SuperSaver Bonus interest is not computed daily. It is based on the month's "Avg Effective Balance", which, for the 1st month is calculated from the Date your Account is opened.

See my earlier post re calling BOC to confirm Account Start date.

so if your Start Date is say 5 May, then compute how much to fund (eg from 13 May) such that the Average (from 5 to 31 May) is 80k.

as such, u dont have to rush to fund your account before PayNow setup, if u want to be sure (I assume u have more than 80k to fund the account)

so far, I have done FAST in at 11pm and it is still reflected in BOC ... but dont risk it

might not be supported by all banks. maybe check with BOC/Citibank?

it has been like this for years. same when you go to DBS to try to pay citi it's not avail.

ah ok..maybe I have encounter this problem long time ago...but I could use 3 other bill payment consistently..

this 2 month I dun need to pay IRAS so need to find another bill to pay...

I registered app login at bank branch. If I recall correctly can register the app login via online banking also.
