As per ABC, the La Liga giants only offered Varane a salary worth £115,000-a-week, on the other hand, the PL side have offered a deal that will make him earn as much as David Alaba i.e. £200,000-week. So, Man Utd have agreed to pay £85,000-a-week more than Madrid to secure his signature.

The Spanish outlet have mentioned that initially, Man Utd proposed a fee of 50 million euros and the amount is not enough. However, it is reported that the fee agreement is getting closer and the player will eventually end up signing for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Mundo Deportivo mention that the fee would be around £50million but the La Liga club have no intention of strengthening the backline and want to collect money to lure Kylian Mbappe.

In England, Manchester Evening News have also reported that reaching a fee agreement would not be a problem and Varane is closer to joining Man Utd. The deal is expected to be finalized before the end of July.

Raphaël Varane and his agents confirmed to Real Madrid his desire to try a new experience in the Premier League. He’ll be respectful waiting for the club agreement - but he wants Man United. 🔴 #MUFC

Varane also confirmed to Man Utd he’d be ‘ready’ to accept their contract bid.

Everybody want united. Go united like holiday plus high pay must be. No pressure to perform

Real Madrid are selling Raphael Varane to Manchester United this week.

AS says Real Madrid have accepted defeat in attempts to secure Varane to a new contract and are now finalising his sale to United.

Varane has agreed a €12m-a-year contract offer from United, which are now haggling over a price with Real.

Real wish €50m to sell, though United are insisting on something lower given they could secure Varane to a pre-contract from January 1 ahead of signing him for nothing next summer. Their last offer was for €45m plus €5m in bonuses.

Varane is pushing both clubs to find an agreement this week as he doesn't wish to return to Valdebebas to start his preseason training.

Once this transfer period ends he will go on a free transfer. Man Utd has between now until end of August to sell him or swap him with another player.

Reports from Football Insider last month claimed that Man United are prepared to listen to offers for Henderson as the club's coaches were not impressed with the goalkeeper's attitude.

The report suggested that he's said to be a 'big time Charlie' behind the scenes which has not gone down well with Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

However, it appears that United have had a change of heart and are now set to retain Henderson for the coming campaign.

The last time a Man Utd player was called a big time Charlie was Ferguson calling Paul Ince a big time Charlie. We all know what happened to Paul Ince after that.

It's one of the byproducts of the COVID-induced cash crunch in football, and it has created an unprecedented situation across Europe. At no point in recent history have so many key players at big clubs found themselves in the final year of their contract, as is the case heading into the 2021-22 season.

You want forwards? How about Paulo Dybala, Alexandre Lacazette or Kylian Mbappe? And you can probably add Erling Haaland to that list: he's not in the last year of his deal, but given his release clause that kicks in after next season -- thought to be around €70m -- is so much less than his market value, he may as well be.

And that's just the big-name 30-and-under forward cohort. If you want guys who are slightly more seasoned -- but still A-list contributors -- how about Karim Benzema, Luis Suarez or, yep, even Cristiano Ronaldo? Gareth Bale too, if that's your taste...

Are midfielders more your thing? Consider Leon Goretzka, Franck Kessie, Thomas Delaney, Marcelo Brozovic, Sergi Roberto, Isco and Paul Pogba, all of whom are 30 and under. If you're good with a bit of grey mixed in, you can extend it to Luka Modric, Axel Witsel or Angel Di Maria.

Are defenders your bag? How about Raphael Varane, Andreas Christensen, Antonio Rudiger, Nacho, Alessio Romagnoli, John Stones, Serge Aurier or Dani Carvajal?

You want keepers? We got those too... Andre Onana, Samir Handanovic and Hugo Lloris, to name a few.

Swap with varane since both players wanted a switch of clubs.

Just read Jones has 2 years of his contract and is on about 75K per week..
which will be around 7 or 8 Million salary over the 2 years..

Why cant the club just pay and release him...........
or are they expecting some club willing to pay 10 to 20M for Jones?

According to The Telegraph, Shaw suffered a broken ribs injury in the famous win over Germany but he played through the pain barrier nonetheless.

The Red Devils’ staff have yet to assess the talented defender as he left straight after the Euros to go on holiday and hasn’t been a part of pre-season yet.

As such, there’s no telling what the extent of the damage was and Shaw’s fitness won’t be cleared up until he’s back at Carrington.

The hope is the above is true and Shaw’s fractured ribs can heal naturally, meaning the time he’s away on holiday will be part of his recovery itself.

This is the reason there is always a need for someone to cover for Shaw if he gets injured.
