dang any good alternatives then? My pixel 4XL is still strong but its getting old looking for a replacement soon... whats the next best phone with basic android OS? One+ ?

The only other brand that I would consider is Sony. It is very much stock android with some minor extras added on top.

Good hardware, fairly clean software, questionable software updates frequency
OK camera image quality unless you use their pro camera app. Exorbitant pricing

Agree on the exorbitant pricing lol.

But if want stock or very stock like and want warranty, then its the only choice in SG right now

I was a Sony Xperia user before (Z3) and their customer support is close to none thats why I never considered Sony after that

I tried a couple of their phones for a short time but always got rid afterwards due to their camera "water painting" image processing.

Very sad that there are limited phones running stock Android in SG.

In the past at least got the Android One series.

Based on last checked with CTDi, TW Pixel 5 supported warranty here. can check pixel 5 thread, discussed before.
