Cn 2in1 windows tablets are getting more and more interesting and better. I wonder if this new Jasper lake can run 8k YouTube videos.

My teclast x4 Gemini lake can run 4k youtube videos with no issues, but cannot do 8k.

Very interesting indeed... very good price also... below $500 is really outstanding value... especially with keyboard and stylus... amazing...

Yeah.

A few caveats though.

6gb ram, emmc internal storage, dual core CPU. It's like the bare minimum for a good experience in Windows.

Teclast x6 plus although uses older n4100 Gemini lake, but it's 4 core, user replaceable m2 ssd, 8gb dual channel ram and 2 full sized usb-a 3.0 ports (which I think it's more useful).

From the reviews, it does not seem that this new dual core Jasper lake is significantly better in performance, especially multicore benchmarks. It does have a 4 core variant, which is probably more expensive.

PS: I upgraded the ssd in my x4 to 500gb and added a 512gb sd card (yep, it does support 512gb). Total 1tb now.

Also these tablets can be powered and recharged using 20w+ USB c PD power banks. Plugging that in my x4 lasted the entire day with a 20k power bank. So not too worried with the innate battery life of the tablets.

Added info:
Both N4100 Gemini lake and N4500 Jasper lake are eligible for Windows 11 upgrade.

Just ordered a tablet on Lazada. Nothing too spectacular, but it looks like a decent promo. I expect it to be cheap eMMC though. But for the price, can't complain.

$160 now after $2 off voucher.

Better cancel the order or u can count yourself in as another victim that fall to scam fake tablets.

The ram and storage are obviously fake and the buyers are practically coaxed to give good review (to get 'warranty'). U will be lucky if u can even transfer 32gb of stuff into it.

Go for known brands, not some dubious brand.

Lazada is like a nest for these scammers. I think they don't even care. Another platform that is also full of these is tb. Buyers just need to exercise caution and reason.

When a deal seem too good to be true, it is too good to be true.

So many people had already reported these are worthless 1/2gb ram 16/32gb storage mtk 6797 (which does not even support 10gb ram) tablets hacked to make the system report fake values. OS is also Android 4.4 or 5 hacked to report Android 10/11.

They transfer a 1gb file and 20gb of available storage gone.

Replies came in too late to cancel. :(

I'll just test it and run into the fail, then reject as fake. :s13:

I missed it. Thanks. Was quite many pages back.

Edit: Learnt something new from Lazada. Reject the parcel at the door and it'll be sent back.

Oh like that no need to pay is it? Or is it refunded?
Refunded after it returns to Lazada's warehouse.

I'm more worried they do the unscrupulous thing and leave it at the door and walk away. So it's flagged as "delivered".

Delivery is not by the company that sells you the device... so I don't think that will happen...

Yeah, that is a reason to worry. Although delivery is not made by the seller, the delivery service might take such instructions from the seller.

My father was recently scammed. He received a delivery addressed to my sister, which the seller told the delivery guy to collect $50 from the recipient. My father did not check if its genuine and just paid the guy $50.

Later he called my sister and my sister said she had never ordered anything. When we opened the package, its just 2 teabags.

Tough times these days. Be careful.

The default now is contactless delivery, even when instructed otherwise. A lot of the folks leave stuff at the door and go off. In my case, they don't even bother to ring the doorbell, and things have been stolen before.

IT's worse cos my parents are retirees who are almost always home. Dad is practically parked beside the door watching TV or reading in his favourite chair. So even if they knock the door, he can hear it and answer.

Enjoying my teclast x4 with Windows 11 now.

Do note windows 11 support if u intend to purchase a windows tablet. Ironically, the core m processor of teclast x6 pro is not listed as a windows 11 supported CPU.

Although windows 11 can be installed in unsupported devices, windows update will not work for such installation.

Teclast T40+ vs Alldocube iPlay 40 Pro... interesting comparison cos both spot almost identical hardware and software specs...
