Yap, imagine you drive to the pump station, and need to wait 1 hour to fully charge your EV car? Can't imagine me doing that! What a waste of our precious time, LOL! Not to mention battery degradation and it will come a time when your "fully charged" EV batteries can barely last you for 20km!
it will be somewhat like using your phone.
you will charge your phone at home before you use it next day right ?
Once EV becomes mainstream, i would imagine there would be chargers everywhere and charging your cars overnight would be akin to charging your phone.
If you do need to charge outside, tesla superchargers can add 200 miles range in just 15 mins.
in terms of battery degradation, tesla cars have a degradation of around 10-15% over 200K miles which i think is normal. A normal ICE car would also lose its petrol efficiency over time.
