Icic, thks, got it, so we should buy nearer to 60days to fully max the $$ paid.
That is not how the way it works. Regardless of when you buy, expires on the date of iPhone activation + 2 years for iPhone.

Applecare is not really needed if you have a case and glass screen protector.

I've dropped my iPhones a few times. Sometimes the glass protector breaks which requires replacing. That's all.

Applecare is more suitable if you're not using case or screen protector.

Thks for sharing. I'll likely not buy, believe mainly for screen crack. With a good case + screen protector, we should jave a gd lvl of protection

This recently updated link says otherwise.

Authenticator apps like Google / Microsoft / RSA all need to manually port over right? The itunes backup + restore cannot cater for it?

Wah imagine the issues if u wipe the old phone without porting those over...
Google auth is very easy to migrate. 10 secs job only. old device, u just select transfer account and select export account, then select all your auth login accounts, new device just select import and scan the QR code, done.

Thanks, I've not done it before (my phone is 4 years old) hence good to know that it's not that complex. My main worry is forgetting to export Google auth before wiping my old phone :s13:

I heard from my friend that there’s a change in iPhone repair policy starting from iPhone 12 where faulty sets within warranty or Apple Care period won’t get a 1 to 1 replacement, but rather, repairing the unit like changing the screen, motherboard, back glass etc.

Is this true? Has anyone encountered any problems with prolonged repair times on their iPhone 12 with this new policy?

Erm, yes. Possible. I believe the back case is no longer glued to the parts starting with the 12.

seems like 13 pro more popular than 13? delivery for 13 pro is now 19 Oct onwards, 13 is 5 Oct for certain models
For sure... Because of the ProMotion 120Hz display.

Seems like stocks are ample or demand not as strong this time round with all self-pickup dates still being Day 1.
