Hi guys. New to home automation. Recently gotten a rm4 Pro and was using it on my old mitsubishi aircon. It was able to Configure the ir controller automatically. Works fine initially. But like 1/3 of the time the aircon just doesn't respond, though its shown as online on my broadlink app (not ihc). So it can be responding well to various command at 8pm, but doesn't respond to any button at 9pm. No WiFi network issue. I am connected to the America server. Could be it latency from the server at various times?
maybe. mine no problem.

Hi, anyone tried with fanco fans ? want to know if it is supported. thanks!
Works for mine.

However, since they don't officially state what RF frequency they use for their RF controllers, there's still a likelihood that they might not use the same RF modules for all batches.

Ahh, true that. Luckily it's not that expensive for trying. Was thinking of that vs the Bond Bridge, which is way more expensive.

Thanks!

thanks @batniss

Also any idea how can i control same air con model same IR controller side by side? do i have to split 2 into broadlink and only place 1 within line of sight of 1 aircon?

Capture.jpg
Mitsubishi Starmex? Cannot because the aircon is designed like it.

the broadlink will either on both at the same time or randomly (depending on how you place it). Spliting with multiple broadlink will work though

I dont mind if someone could correct me though

Hi, Just started on the journey of home automation with Google Home & Broadlink ... So far, the experience has been good. However, I am unable to learn the remote for SingTel Setup Box with RM4 PRO ... Anyone has any luck to learn the remote for SingTel Box or if there's any other alternative ?

Please advise.

Hi everyone. Need some expert help. My 2 Broadlink TC2-2 that i have been using for the pass 2 years suddenly started giving me problems couple of days ago. Manual it can be turn on and off, but I'm unable to control it via google or Broadlink app. Below are what i have tried so far.

1) Tried pairing again both TC2-2 using both Android and Apple phone. Encounter sometimes able to pair but will stop working after couple of minutes.

2) Cleared my cache in the broadlink app and move my RM Pro out to the livingroom beside the switches. Pair again the switches, encounter the same intermittent pairing issue and also the switches not working after a couple of mins in the Broadlink app even after successfully pairing. Observe the RM Pro sending signal out when pressing on and off the switches in the app but the switches still not working, and have successfully operated my curtains which uses a RF motor to verify that its not my RM Pro that is faulty.

3) Have tried reinstalling the Broadlink app on both Android and iPhone but issue not resolved.

I3m pretty sure my RM Pro is ok. Now I'm not sure if its the switches, since i feel the odds of both TC2-2 failing on the same day is pretty slim and they do intermittently pairs and work for a couple of mins. Or is it the Broadlink app which from past experience with the IHC app can be quite buggy.

So what do you all think? Isit the switches or the Broadlink app issue?

Anyone encounter the same issue as me and have a solution?

Anyone knows why telling it to turn off the fan in a room affects the other rooms as well? They all are in different bedrooms. Same thing as google side.

Hi. This is most likely due to the WPA security level of your router.

Over the past 1 month, I've been using a few routers in the home as an experiment to cover a deadzone in my house. So basically, I switch routers back and forth between my Netgear XR500 and the Asus AX11000 in extender mode and am now using 2 Asus AX11000; 1 as an Access Point and the other in Mesh mode.
Both my Netgear and Asus routers have been configured with the same SSID and password along with the same WPA security settings. This means seamless connection for all devices regardless of which router I am currently using since connection wise.
Never had issues with any of my IoT devices as a result.

When I do this, I make sure that the new Asus AX11000 are configured to have the exact same settings as they have before.

For maximum compatibility with your IoT devices, you should set your 2.4GHz SSID to have a WPA security of WPA & WPA2. The 2.4Ghz band is usually what most of our IoT devices use. I once tried setting the WPA to WPA2 & WPA3. It caused my Yeelink Lightstrip to completely drop out of the network and not being able to reconnect. So you'll have to use the lower WPA security taking note that devices on 2.4GHz usual stick to low WPA security settings.
Then you can set your 5GHz SSID to have a WPA security of WPA2 and WPA3 since these are mainly devices that are also equipped with those WPA security settings on them as well.

Hopefully this will help solve your issue even though it is more than a month late to come help with your issue.

can this help to monitor aircon temperature at night?
for eg if it is 30deg, turn on aircon, turn off aircon at 28deg

or turn on aircon for 2 hours, then turn off for 1 hour, turn on again for 2 hours and then turn off again

why don't you rely on the temperature control of your aircon?

I think it have to do with naming convention on your fan which assumes you name it as xxx fan, yyy fan and etc fan which trigger all "fan" to be turned on when you ask Google to switch on fan...If you give a unique name to each fan and tell google to switch the specific fan, all the other fan should not be affected...

Why not set timer in the broadlink app to on or off the aircon at specific time everyday?

I just bought a RM4 Pro. I managed to connect to my fan and tv box but the most important device , the TV cannot connect. My TV is LG UF65UF680T-TA with magic remote. I have tried the official LG signals but none works. I also tried learning but doesn't work too. Anyone can give some advice?

Can i ask how many are running multiple broadlinks.

Have a RM4pro in the living room.

My friend stays in a terrace and he amazingly only uses only 1. Level 1 can reach level 3.
But mine from living room, the RF signal can't extend to my rooms (well even the remotes have trouble sometimes and need to be beaming to the particular room).
