WhatsAPP Messages - Restoration???

i accidentally deleted a WhatsApp conversation with a friend but i forgotten to save the contact.

my backup is daily copy to google drive so would have been overwritten i guess?

anyway to recover this? ??

Check your Android > Media > com.whatsapp > Whatsapp > Database folder.

If it looks like this, you can still restore your backup from 5 days ago.
1. Backup/copy everything out to another folder or a computer.
2. Delete everything in current folder except for maybe 9/8/7, auto backups are done at 2am so you agar agar.
3. Rename whichever one you're using to msgstore.db.crypt14 like how the latest one is.
4. Uninstall your WhatsApp, reinstall, when prompted if you wanna restore backup from gcuck drive, say no, then will have option to restore from local backup.

If you're using iPhone then disregard and good luck.

you check your google drive got whatsapp backup from 5 days ago not.

if have then can restore.

can try restoring old messages backup file if you're using android, but that will also mean other latest messages from other chat group will be gone too

trying this now. hopefully it works.
