because the CG437K is a VA panel while the PG320 is an IPS panel.
in order for the VA panel to hit 144Hz needs 2x DP cables. compared to the IPS one which just needs one.

It's better if you search by your requirements instead of brand.
Things to consider:
- Aspect Ratio (16:9, 21:9, 32:9)
- Resolution (1080p 1440p or 2160p)
- Screen size (27" - 32" or higher?)
- Panel Type (VA, IPS or TN)
- Refresh rate ( 60hz, 120hz, 144hz, 240hz)
- Adaptive refresh rate (need gsync for Nvidia cards or is freesync enough)
- Colour Space (closer to 100% sRGB is the best, don't fall for those that advertise 120% it's just oversaturation)
- Response time (typically 5ms GTG or below is considered good)

Factoring the above, both options you listed aren't the best in any category nor are they even the cheapest.

no, not about brand but more about the display panels, IPS vs VA. there are pro & con for each depends on your usage
https://www.howtogeek.com/658701/tn-vs.-ips-vs.-va-whats-the-best-display-panel-technology/
so based on this it seems, VA for better contrast ratios, and but can have a bit of ghosting during gaming. IPS for better colour reproduction, less contrast and gaming? Cause the Acer seems to be VA and this Prism+ is IPS

I bought the Prism+ 32" 4K at $1333 today with some special deal/lobang, would you consider that a good deal? :)

Seems like you already sort of made up your mind when you started this thread and are just looking for validation. All I can say is enjoy your purchase, since buy already don't think so much.

let me know if your friend needs a new friend :D
Hahahaha. But curious. At this price. Other brands still more worth spec for spec? I wish people would give examples instead of just shooting down

can try compare with gigabyte m32u. think that is the closest in SG market.
cost less for sure but spec wise think is equal or higher since it has a KVM or some such.
otherwise i think panel is the same between both.

at the 32" range, there's very few pure 4K @ 144Hz. compared to 27" and above 32".

edit: think the m32u can do 144hz on both DP & HDMI. heard the Prism+ 320 only does 144hz on DP. i could be very wrong so welcome feedback.

my bad, the Gigabyte m32u is only QHD. cannot compare to the Prism+ pg320.
should compare with the FI32U instead.

there's some Asus equivalent but duno if that's in SG yet.
