:s22: they are always too confident about their exynos series... so far, none of the exynos released is good...

Exynos 1280 is in between dimensity 900 and sd778g, so no matter what, it is definitely still a downgrade. They only kept sd778g in A73 which is not available in SG :s22:

Another "improvement" seems to be that the silver ring in the selfie camera is now gone .... that was kinda irritating in the A52 series

The last time Exynos was good was back in the s6 days when Snapdragon 810 was cui

All the unveiling for A33, A53 and A73, in the end SG only gets A53 officially

I wonder about the M series though. We are the first to get M22 and M52

Local pre order only comes with free case and 25W charger. While Samsung Taiwan is giving Buds Live.

Maybe who knows, Qualcomm also have a faster SD778G Plus chip which is ready to into it if there is one.

Surprisingly Samsung put the current SD778G into the newly announced A73 5G which is the same chip found inside A52s yet A53 “downgraded” to Exynos 1280. :cautious:

Since Malaysia will have it, maybe there will be parallel imports into Singapore, or you can cross the border to get it yourself.

I think the a23 5g will also arrive soon after it becomes official

Maybe price of A52s will go up after this piece of sh!t is released as production stops but demand goes up for A52s :s13:

horror story ...

you guys keep assuming we are getting the exynos 1280 in our a53 ... but no...

we are getting the exynos 1200 in our local listings. you can refer to samsung's shopee listing. the samsung SG website also did not specify we are getting the 1280 ...

PLATFORM OS: Android 12, One UI 4
Chipset: Exynos 1200
CPU: Octa-core (2x2.4 GHz & 6x2.0 GHz)
GPU: Mali-G68

i have been waiting for this for months and even gave the a52s a miss but it appears a53 is a huge downgrade ... considering the $150 price increase, a slower processor (exynos 1200 vs the 778g in a52s), similar camera set, missing charger ...

i really do not like how samsung SG is sneaky about this and misguiding us to think we are getting the same chip as per what is globally released. we naturally assumed we are getting the exynos 1280 and yet we are paying the same price as the global set but receiving a cheaper chip with poorer performance. isn't this similar to how they sneakily throttled the s22?

Either get the A52S or just wait for 'A53S' if they ever intend to release one..

25 Mar or 4/4 on Shopee sale / Lazada Birthday sale, easily can get it under $400 for A52S local set..
