I mean when you tap, there is a lag before the card is recognised and the gantry opens. If you mean SimplyGo only posts transaction after the day, yes. It is kind of post-paid than immediate deduction.

https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/transport/sale-of-standard-rail-tickets-to-end-by-march-2022I read that SMRT is doing away with single trip tickets, and there will only be stored value tickets ....
To facilitate the changes, minimum top-up will be adjusted, from $10 to $2 for adults IIRC .....
Thanks for the link. Low top-up of $2 really gives flexibility in deciding how much to spend .....
Thanks bro for clarification.
Lol. Can't see this as an "upgrade" when it is worse than before![]()
For ppl like me who drives occasionally, the biggest no no for me with the upgrade is it renders all ERP and carpark fees payments disabled. This doesn't serves as a holistic transport card anymore so not enticed by the upgrade. To top up account-based Ezlink card through the Ezlink app in phone, you no longer need to use NFC unlike the non-upgraded Ezlink, which means non-NFC phones like iphone, etc also can be used to top up. The balance of each upgraded card is stored in ezlink server when topping up. It is same as using a debit card scenario.
But
- Gantry/bus no longer show the balance left. Only app can seee.
- Cannot use ezlink wallet to top up upgraded card.
Are you not able to top up more than $100?May I ask,
Top-up for EZ-link card is capped at $100 per day if using credit card?
I experienced a limit of $100 per day when topping-up NFP card (which I read somewhere when using credit card), so just wondering if it applies to EZ-link too, or has the limit been changed or removed ....Are you not able to top up more than $100?
Apparently can store up to $500

Possibility limit set by GTM when using credit card for top-up?The limit only applies to top up through GTM.
don’t think there is any limit on topping up with EZ-Link or Nets.
Possibility limit set by GTM when using credit card for top-up?
well can use for other purpose, not only transportof course it is a limit set by transit link with valid reason. No one needs more than 100 top up on GTM.
