First time they made a fourth series. Last time they keep skipping four or rebranding it.
I think because the 4 is taboo. But it seems COVID19 has already lost many till they sort of think it as not taboo and numb about it?

Or they want to break the taboo.

I think there's Sony Xperia Z4 but renamed as Sony Xperia Z3+ outside Japan.

PS: I will buy this phone someday, but not at this price.

Wow this video talked about HDR continues burst! He also test sunlight legibility. Now the only final hurdle is the heater processor whether can it withstand the heat generated with the final production...

This is advertised as device for creators, where those group of people take pictures and do fine-tuning for better results. Some had been asking for more options and this is the answer from sony.

Obviously those who are lazy to play with options and just prefer point and shoot function, this is not ideal for them.

Kinda reminds me of the LG G4 that I used to own. The camera and its manual control was actually pretty good for its time (2015 I believe?), and I enjoyed shooting with a bit more control that resulted in amazing pictures that I could actually use as wallpaper on a large monitor.

The issue as shared by GSMarena was thermal throttling.

https://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_1_iv-review-2419.php

The phone can get hot which remind of me of my Xperia XZ which had thermal throttling issues.
Hopefully when the phone is realized the issue is fixed.
The price is too high, I am still sticking with my old Xperia 5 first gen which is still alive and kicking.

Haha nobody will complain if got more. Somemore its a lot faster transfer speed than micro SD card ~

Anyway take a look at this video. Awesome creation and beautiful pictures!

Looks like the true photographers are getting the most out of the phone, while your standard phone reviewers don't even bother getting the settings right.

The HDR here looks amazing, especially at how the typically overexposed areas are recovered like the sky! Not sure how other reviewers can get it wrong by either saying there is no HDR or that the camera's exposure compensation is bad. Really enjoyed this video, it's the most detailed review I've seen so far, especially the breakdown of the 4K 120 FPS video settings combinations.

Any word on when in June it will be released here? Mid-June still very vague leh.
Delivery state before 13 June. Likely its the date. But there's cases of late delivery (during COVID19 period I ordered earbuds . )

Was actually set on getting the S22 Ultra before I saw the news today. Now I am torn. Any advice to help me make a decision? Currently using a S9+ and definitely changing my phone before going on holiday in June. So assuming the 1iv is released early-mid June, I have a tough decision to make.

By the way did Sony announce how many years of updates they will commit to?
I asked sony Westgate. Told me if you pre-order, the first stocks will come from 2nd June onwards
