just book direct with rwgenting on their website no drama

if using first world hotel, can self-check in at machine
dont need to queue up

Queue up to use the dozens of kiosks, plus Malaysia Tourism Tax of RM 10 per room per night stay.
Add few extra $$ for scenic view room, near lifts, higher floors, etc. Could be done with kiosk machine without counter intervention,

Even if I checked in alone , I always pick Y5 Triple at a low-peak price of 29GP, which almost confirmed a unblocked scenic view, not a window-to-windows in most rooms in Tower 1 or 2, which u could snoop into other folks room thru thru their non-fully closed windows.
Being unblocked windows, you get fresh cooling air for your room, First world Hotel rooms, dont have aircon since its high up in the mountains, but a hot summer daytime, room temp could be as high as 28 degrees.

During my last stay in Apr this year, the tourism tax seemed to lower down to 3GP per night instead of the RM10 per night prior lock down.

i like to book directly with rwgenting.com website
i feel thats the safest..

u book with agoda or booking is 3rd party
book through travel agency they give u 1 peice of paper
u go queue up then they give u room
i dont wanna deal with that kinda nonsense
just book direct with rwgenting on their website no drama

if using first world hotel, can self-check in at machine
dont need to queue up

Genting SkyWorlds Hotel or first world hotel
is not bad

those 5-star hotel abit too expensive i feel is overprice

you might want to give agoda a chance again, i was able to check-in the room using the booking id from agoda

2022, a Sustainability Charge of RM3 per room/ day will be imposed in accordance with the Hotel (Pahang) Regulation 2021.

saw some of those on klook too...never took one before.

i guess depends on your definition of "worth it".

time? price? travelling party size etc ba. or like some bros here like to break up the trip.

since you are at KL, i guess you can do what some of us like to do, from KL sentral to awana via bus gogenting (9gp or foc), then skyway up (9 gp or foc). skyway foc redemption works during weekdays only.

or grab will work also. should be 130rm thereabout. not sure about now with all the crowds coming back and jackup pricing.

How real is this news?
no idea

if really true
then go get a YouTrip or Revolut card or Wise card to make card payments overseas
these are basically prepaid debit cards

i wouldn't enable my local bank card magnetic stripe for overseas use.

if genting can implement cashless payment here i think it can be true there too. but many other outlets not owned by them will accept cash. i bot a luggage bag and ate at several outlets early May using cash. no issue.
