Update on my experience, yes I've noticed on some apps it went back to 60hz and when I go to settings the high refresh rate option is greyed out. Hopefully once the battery has calibrated itself this wont be too much of an issue, will continue to monitor.Yes, it should be locked to 120hz, but according to various online sources, it will lower to 60hz whenever the device gets warm.
The demo set also mirrored what they claimed, so I am looking for real user's experience.
Have been wanting to upgrade from my 1 II for the 120hz, but if it is going to drop to 60hz easily, maybe I should skip one more gen...
Wow u went there on multiple days to try?Yep, 1st day, it was ok...2nd day tried again, the demo software was acting up. Now it start turning off?
Lazy to go other outlet to try.
Anyway, how was the phone so far? Does it drop the refresh rate to 60fps easily?
Yea, this happens on my mk2 as well if you only set home screen wallpaper, setting both lock and home screen will keep your position.I noticed a very peculiar bug where I changed the wallpaper on my phone and already positioned it nicely, but when I exit to my main screen my image has shifted to the right, so I need to move the image to the left when setting the wallpaper in order for it to display centered wtf hahaha.
@Toader do you have this problem?
Thanks for the update, this was what I noticed on the demo set as well. Hopefully Sony find some way to optimize it.Update on my experience, yes I've noticed on some apps it went back to 60hz and when I go to settings the high refresh rate option is greyed out. Curious what makes you switch from iPhone.Wow u went there on multiple days to try?
The phone is great! Although I dunno if it is worth the extra $400 compared to a Samsung S22 Ultra which cost $1.5k now.
Haha Iβm probably not the target buyer. I only bought this phone cause of the Sony branding. I just switched over from my old iPhone and the only android brand I know is Sony which was my last android phone before switching to iPhone 6 years ago. Now, finally decided to switch back to android, and so, Sony![]()
Thereβs like no change to the iOS software since 6 years ago, so itβs kind of boring.Curious what makes you switch from iPhone.
Welcome to the dark side ~Wow u went there on multiple days to try?

is your 5G standalone or Non standalone? SA or NSA?Just got a set from Sony Store a couple of days back. Walk in and the salesgirl said the preorder was still on and stocks were available.
The box packaging caught my eye. Easily the slimmest of all the Xperia phones so far. I was informed by the Sony staff that the charger and cable would not be included.
Managed to set it up early morning.
Love the user interface, easy to hold, excellent build, love the purple colour (only Sony purple works for me).
Of course heat was generated during the set up but which phone wouldn't. But after that, some use of the social media, WhatsApp and surfing, the phone felt slightly warm but my Pixel 6 (my previous phone and comparatively speaking) was warmer, bulkier and the Xperia 1 IV was easy on the hand.
I am using starhub and I am able to receive 5G.
I tested the bundled speaker RA 3000. The sound is not bad when playing a few songs off my playlist. Though I would have preferred the wireless headphones, of course.
Plus the display brightness, though I havent tried outside a sunny day yet. Today just received my phone case and applied tempered glass. Porting over some pictures and videos which made the phone very hot (expected, ditto with Xperia 1III). Should stable down a bit after I complete my full setup.Ok, this is very tempting offer now. Full flat display FTW~
LTPO display. Most probably next generation or two likely? The bad is display not using new tech lipo or what de
Can from 1 to 120 hrtz

If not for the failed Samsung manufactured processor, this phone is actually pretty much covered already.
I havent buy and apply lens temper glass yet.
Its at the top haha
u can sell the speakers on carousell for $$Anywhere selling without the speakers???
