Planning on getting one of this set from online. Not really a gamer yet. Advice appreciated.

Ryzen 5 5600X with B550M motherboard
Geforce Rtx 3060
16gb DDR4-3600 Ram
512Gb Gen 3 SSD
Voltron Platinum 700
ARGB Fan x 3

All for $1200

Everything same but with intel i5-12400F for $1305

Thanks in advance

Just to add on this prebuilt set is available on shopee and Lazada from Armaggeddon store which i thought was for a reasonable price. Also please advice if i should just take the Ryzen set or the Intel set for $105 more. All along i have been using dell PCs.

Online? Like Caurosell? Take note if you buy from Caurosell, ask for receipt/invoice.
Some don't give receipt/invoice.

yeah they wont let u change the psu since its sold on those etailers, which is enough for me to turn the whole thing down. their entire range of psus are pretty much ticking time bombs which will likely wreck ur entire system.

not really, 12400 is basically the same performance. also, not sure what kind of motherboard they give u, later they give u one of the crappy ones with power limits (b550 generally shouldnt have this issue); dont forget u are paying extra.

That's worrying. Maybe I should look at other sellers who does state exact parts being used and have option to change to another part if needed.

Will seldom find such sellers, dubious parts are usually hidden and so newbies which only understand CPU, GPU and Ram tend to fall for this kind of trap.

That's true. Would it help if a few of these sellers give at least 3 years warranty? At least us newbies should have a few years of worry free use with some support from these sellers.

Looking at the shoppee Armageddon product spec it looks like OEM product just like any other branded OEM pre-built, at least the case looks nice and plenty of air flow.

IMO Armageddon has the dodgiest parts quality I've ever seen from a local brand. The price is just way too low and with significant chunks of misleading advertising, including adding "Bronze" to the product name so consumers would think it's 80+ Bronze, and advertising 484W peak power for a 235W PSU.

Wouldn't touch their PSUs with a 10 foot pole, and if I did, the pole would most likely catch fire. :s13:

3 years warranty doesn't guarantee everything will be fuss-free.

From my experience, consumers with rigs that uses questionable parts require more servicing, which means more downtime and disruption. Will you be okay with that?

If you want fuss-free, better get good quality components, the chances are better. For die-hard robustness, consider installing windows 10 instead of 11.

Was actually tallying up the cost of the individual products Vs getting a full pre built set and realised it's much cheaper to get from Armageddon. Unfortunately as stated by some members here, the exact brand or model of the parts are not clearly stated.

Was initially thinking of dropping by SLS to get the parts to built the pc. Just worried even though the warranty shouldn't be a problem, I would probably have problem to troubleshoot the software part of the build if anything crops up. That's why was thinking of a pre built system which would be more of plug and play.

I'll be very frank.

You will never be able to get ideal hardware from prebuilt companies, at least 1 or 2 will be trash-tier parts. Usually, PC issues and setup are very straightforward. You only need to install OS and drivers to get things working.

Compared to 20 years ago, there are plentiful resources for learning to build a PC and performing troubleshooting. When you face a problem, learn how to deal with it and google it. There's also Hardwarezone and Reddit.

To be honest, this is less fuss than contacting customer support who has no idea what they are saying. Do yourself a deed and avoid the drama.

Many of those ODM parts are very cheap, and so is the quality. They were never made to last, and you are paying to invite trouble.

Maybe you try those smaller builders like Mansa where they let you choose each part from a range and it'll still be covered by their own warranty. Bigger builders can't promise you specific parts because they're just gonna buy in bulk whatever is the cheapest at the time.

Thanks all for your advice and comments. Have decided to go with Mansa for the same system as above with intel i5-12400f. Slightly more expensive then Armaggeddon but at least i know exactly all the parts that i'll be getting with information shared by the members.
