Thinkbook family KYM?

Advice needed here for Lenovo E14

Built-in microphone does not work - Checked permission (all ok) and also uninstall and reinstall, but not working

External microphone also does not work as well.

On the windows 10 voice recorder app, it does not detect any microphone (for both built-in and external)

Any suggestions how to fix the problem ?

Guys wanna ask. How is Yoga 7 Slim Pro models rank as compared to their ThinkBook 14P? Assuming the same specs.

Currently still using my Yoga 7 Slim Pro Oled with 5800H CPU.

Buying one for my wife, she does photo editing same as me. And i find the 6800H iGPU indeed much faster with RDNA when using AI image enhancers programs like Topaz Denoise, Gigapixel etc. So tempting.

The 14P is going for a mere $1.6k after configurations and asking for discount from the chat.

I just ordered thinkbook 14p for $1570 with Ryzen 6800H, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 2.8k OLED screen, USB 4 and 61 WHr battery.

There is no yoga slim 7 pro with ryzen 6000 series in the website yet. i think what you refer to is Yoga slim 7 pro x with the ryzen 6800h with discrete graphics card. It has no OLED screen, no HDMI and no usb 4. And it costs 2.2k.

Note: on lenovo SG webstore,
For ThinkBook 14p, only 16GB memory is available when OLED panel is selected.
If 32GB memory is selected the OLED panel option will not be available.

Earlier batches of Yoga Slim 7 Pro X had screen issues (yellowish tinge borders, "CSOT panel") according to lenovo, the issue had since been rectified.

Offically, USB 4 is not supported on this model at this moment.

Wah didnt know got people buy 14P haha. Im leaning towards the 14P due to the connectivity ports and cheaper, wondering whats the catch. Just a tiny bit heavier over the yoga 7 slim pro/x models.

Yes. i encounter that too. No idea why. I wanted 32GB RAM with OLED screen but the OLED option disappeared once i chose 32GB.

Nope. Cuz I normally change laptop one every 2-2.5 years so i don't see any reason why i need extended warranty. Will give my Yoga Slim 7 4700u to my nephew.

USB 4 is "built into" all 6000 series processors, it's up to the manufacturer to decide whether to expose this feature or not.
My guess will be since USB 4 connects directly to the CPU, there may be support issues when it comes to connecting to a myriad of different devices.
Connecting out of spec USB device might just damage the CPU.

There are unoffical ways to expose USB 4 function but that is not the topic of this thread.

Dont really need a dgpu for my editing needs. Not doing something super intensive. The igpu serve its purpose.

Sadly, it does not work.

Actually, I am uncertain what happened, because in the past when I plugged in my external headset w/ microphone, it was working.

Went over to some retail shops. Mentioning that Oled panels cannot be used for photo editing. Is it really true or debatable?
