Not sure if its me but recently i felt Lenovo's laptop is not that value for money as compared to Acer. Especially the last 6 months, the deals from Lenovo (+vouchers) doesn't seemed to be that attactice anymore.
It is the cheapest but Lenovo previously was bang for bucks lol.acer is the cheapest already ma
elaborate? It is the cheapest but Lenovo previously was bang for bucks lol.
Previously Lenovo had deals where Legion 5 Pro (5800H + 3070) going around 2.3k to 2.4k, the non-pro (5800H + 3050) at around 1.3k, before they faced issues with acquiring chips. Then since then everything went back to SRP.elaborate?
Confirmed with CS that it's not working currently, no additional discount applied compared to before SheerID. Can talk to customer support and they will just tell you to add 99NOW or ISRDEAL, and it's the same as if you applied those codes without SheerIDMay I know how does this work?

Any comment on people who bought this? I need laptop by mid October for course. I will wait awhile to see if i can get high refresh rate screen.
Please also suggest alternatives from other brands with similar specs! Thank you all.

have you considered those options?
Ideapad is really bottom of the hierarchy of reliability
I think Acer is cheaper, but it depends on which series you are getting, the specs can also be different. For example, I was considering the Nitro and Helios 300 series laptop some months back, but I find the use of very low quality display to be a deal breaker for me. The other issue that stopped me from buying Acer is the laptops by default have a carry in warranty. Buying the 2 years onsite warranty means extra cost. I stay in the East, so certainly don't want to travel all the way back to Jurong to service the laptop. Thus, I went with Lenovo for the Legion Ultimate warranty. Not sure if its me but recently i felt Lenovo's laptop is not that value for money as compared to Acer. I do agree with you on this. I did my homework subsequently (unfortunately) and i found that Lenovo does offer a better quality over price comparison.I think Acer is cheaper, but it depends on which series you are getting, the specs can also be different. I think the Z35 being a premium monitor will be onsite service as far as I am aware. But not responding to query is not good. Fortunately for me, they have been responsive to my email queries. But for the first issue, I will argue my case though since the reinstallation did not fix the problem but the change of WIFI card did. So getting charged for a clear hardware problem is not a fair practice regardless of whether service is rendered or not. The installation was the solution given to solve the WIFI issue, but if it did not, then how can they not refund?I actually owned a few Acer products before. But i gave up owning them due to the service.
I once owned a Acer netbook. Back then the wifi card keeps disconnecting. Sent in and they claimed that it could be a software issue. And their laptop servicing do not cover the software. Well i agree that software are not covered by the OEM. But how does one conclude a wifi hardware issue into software issue? Cost me $215 just to reinstall the OS. After 2 days the problem came back. And this time round they change the wifi module. I then proceeded to ask for a refund of $215. They tell me they did a new install of windows. It is chargeable even if it does not solve the wifi issue. That got me so mad.
In 2018? I once emailed them regarding the curve Z35 monitor. Was it a carry in or on site warranty. As during the purchase. No info could be found. Just a simple question and i have not received a reply till date.
When in time of need, you are giving unecessary stress to the consumer. I had enough with their rubbish service.
I had no issues with HP, top notch on site lenovo service and Microsoft.
Exactly! Heartache, headache and frustrated. Didnt wanna pursue further cause it is already a pita to travel to IBP. Once enough. 4 times in total...... enough.I think the Z35 being a premium monitor will be onsite service as far as I am aware. But not responding to query is not good. They also remove OLED option for T14s gen 3, guess they're short on OLED panel from Samsung since this year other brands also integrate the same panel.Anybody 14p with Oled panel got cancelled?
Lenovo is compensating me. But don’t know what other models to choose. Prefer something with Oled option.
Mine has just been cancelled too. I have no idea why. Their email didn't state why the order is canceled.Anybody 14p with Oled panel got cancelled?
