If i get AC+ for HK set. Replacement set they will most likely give me local set right? :(
No, u need to wait between 3-7 working days for the replacement set to be ship from HK to SG Apple store.
I had done an exchange before and physical dual sim, they will replace it with physical dual sim model.
Mine took 3 days as they called me on the 3rd day to go down and collect.

don’t have much time left
if u wanna do anything best head down to ALab/QCD (from what i read here) coz only their AC+ can cover your phone before the 1 year warranty is up

Got mine done at A.Lab this afternoon since I was in the area. $332.10 after discount but they force you to join their general servicing queue even for AC+ purchase, which meant I waited for half an hour before I could get the AC+. At least it's settled before I fly off tonight!

do you have the option to opt for a sg model so as not to wait?

It covers accidents so if you smashed it, then no they will not cover it.

For cracked screen, they will just replace the screen. If you want a refurbished phone, you have to pay $148 to change the phone, even though only the screen cracked.

just to clarify, $48/$148 is payable if only for replacement phone? so if I did 1 replacement, how does the refund work if i were to sell the phone 1 year later? e.g how much would the refund be?

If you cancel your AppleCare plan more than 30 days after your purchase, you’ll get a refund based on the percentage of unexpired AppleCare plan coverage, minus the value of any service already provided

No chance. They’ll only replaced it with iPhone from country of origin.
Same model (many countries can have the same model) yes, same country of origin I don’t think so.

Under model number there are 2 types. One is A(XXXX) and another is (XXXXXXX)/A. The former will be the same for countries belonging to the same group while the latter will be down to the specific country of origin.

I once bought a brand new replacement set from a seller who had his local set replaced under AppleCare+ (for free) due to display issue. The original set box had the model number ending with ZP/A which signifies Singapore set. However, replacement set was from Philippines (model number ending with PP/A). I even have the repair invoice (that I got from the seller) which shows that the replacement was done at Apple Store Singapore.

this is true apart from the value of service provided, it’s been phased out.

You may be right. This is the updated terms as of Sep 2022.

Unless local law provides otherwise, cancellation refunds will be provided as follows:
(A) If you cancel within thirty (30) days of your Plan’s purchase, or receipt of this Plan, whichever occurs later, you will receive a full refund less the value of any benefits provided to you under the Plan.
(B) If you cancel more than thirty (30) days after your receipt of this Plan, you will receive a pro-rata refund of the original purchase price. The pro-rata refund is based on the percentage of unexpired Plan Term from the Plan’s date of purchase using the calculation set forth in Section 11 for your country of purchase.

I bought AC+ together during the pre-order for iPhone 14 but the coverage is still not shown on the device and Apple Support website doesn't show the iPhone has AC+ coverage till now.

Anyone else seeing the same?

For my case I got the phone on launch day 16 Sep and bought applecare on 20 Sep. After buying immediately received email stating I bought it and proof of purchase to be sent to same email 24 to 48 hours later.
I received the proof of purchase email 4 hrs later instead.
