Guys, especially those frequent overseas and using MR Talk App.. Just want to check and hear feedbacks on it when using overseas..

I know it all depends on the how good your data network is when overseas.. But apart from data network, is the app itself stable and reliable so far?

Especially when receiving incoming calls during when overseas.. Does it get cut away suddenly or when there's an actual incoming call but it's not ringing etc?

Thanks in advance!

u intending to make long call ?

for me, I call only for emergency or urgent (like checking if restaurant still open, massage still got slot). totally fine!

incoming call depends on how your phone handle app notification.

Am more concern with incoming calls not ringing or popping up..

No, mostly short calls but I got high volume of incoming calls..

Anyway for use in Malaysia, what telco's can MyRepublic be used on? Only Celcom ? For calling wise..

I saw that M1 SIM Only plan is quite attractive at 80GB for 17.95 or 100GB at 19.95 (excluding caller ID) which is more data than MyRepublic. Is there any difference at all on quality and coverage as MyRepublic is using M1?

I have used it a couple time and they are good. Typically VOIP apps requires little bandwidth and works well with roaming 4G or Wifi.

This is just sharing as told by M1-sales as their SIM data is better and more stable than MR as they got first priority over their sub-branded virtual SIMs. Not sure how true is this..can other experts advise or share on these? Thanks

The only perk imho to go MR is their MR Talk App, other than that... I would rather stick with M1 if that's your only choice, especially when their plans are really cheap now..

But how reliable in TPG? Can it be better than m1? Don’t jump from one shithole to another.

For e-sim, how does MyRepublic compare to circles life in terms of data coverage/stability and roaming data? Any other e-sim mvno besides these 2?

I disabled VoLTE for a few days, then reenable it, and its back to normal

How to upgrade in app ? I just realized they never informed existing customers!
Launch the MyRepublic App,
Click on second tab where the icon look like 4 rectangle.
Click on the "Change your plan freely"

After that you should be able to see all the available plan for you to upgrade.

MyRepublic may chose not to automatically upgrade everybody because some of the customer added the $1.99 for 10GB add-on into their 6GB for $10 Plan. If those group of customer chose to upgrade to 8GB for $10 Base plan, they will loose this special offer of $1.99 for 10GB Add-On.

The current promotion is $2.99 for 10GB Add-on, so it is about $1 extra
