Thot of quitting M1 to try Simba. Is it worth it?
For SIM only no contract plan.

I think it's worth it as SIMBA includes roaming bundle besides huge data and talktime bundle!

As for the slower speed via Speediest compared to other 3 telcos. To be honest, it doesn't affect our day to day internet connection and usages for all apps!

That's why after trying so many MVNOs over the past weeks. I still decided to come back to SIMBA for its super bundle! It's a complete package at a very value-for-money price! (y)(y)(y)

Just signed up the 100GB plan and I choose for the SIM card to be sent to me by postal mail instead of going personally to their authorised dealer. (I live and work in Jurong area but their nearest authorised dealer is at Tiong Bahru)

Just wondering if this self activation page authentic. https://registration.simba.sg:8443/activations If not then how do we activate our SIM card if we choose the card to delivered by postal mail. Also do I need to insert the SIM card to my phone when activating my SIM card?

Pardon me for these dumb questions as it is the 1st time I changed telco and porting in number.

Actually if you stay Jurong, you can collect at Boon Lay Place. I also collected mine from there.

I think you can activate SIM card with the Simba app on your phone after you received the sim

Thanks for your info.

Their website is quite misleading that I thought that only the Seniors' plan can collect the SIM card in the Boon Lay authorised dealer.

I will be going to my neighbourhood authorized dealer.
May get a phone fm them as well.
First time changing Telco after with M1 for twenty yrs.
M1 disappointed me by increasing my plan fm $30 to $55 and without my permission.
Was considering Singtel too.

Beside slower speed, what are the other cons?

At first I though too. Last time, only 100Gb plan can collect at Boon Lay. Thereafter they changed to senior and 100GB plan can be collected at Boon Lay.

I've collected senior plan and 100GB plans last month at Boon Lay. They also have heya there

Phone support, if don't have a supported phone then need to install their app simba voice to receive/call.
Coverage might not be as good yet, this one depends on your area. For some, their daily usual path no issue then not affected.

I am using it for around 2 years already. Got it for work use, separating personal and work number. It's volte works for my phone, so really have no complain for this low price already

1GB of data roaming is too little for high usage trips! At least opt for the 2GB data Roaming plan which might be just enough! :giggle:

Anyway, you still can buy a airsim or sorts if 1GB/2GB is used up while overseas! :)

Haha no bro, the minute I touch down I have access to overseas SIM from my counterparts.

So, I just needed the 1GB to make a quick WA text/calls :)

But Im guessing according to the FAQ, I probably wouldn't be Roam Ready on time... :(

I see! Then, no issue for you at all! :giggle:

Don't worry about the Roam ready! It stated 48 hours but from my 2 times experience. It took just less than 2 hours or even less than 1 hour for Roam activation after you inserted the sim card and the sim get activated! (y)

I'm a SuperRoam holder with 10GB of Roaming Data! 😬

Tried the Roaming data in Malaysia and Bangkok recently so far! Both were fantastic! (y)

For local data connection! I'm happy too! Just don't read too much into that slow speed result on Speedtest app! It doesn't really affect the connections as far as I'm concerned.

Haha okay bro… Tried it once when it was TPG some years ago, maybe this time I’ll give it a shot (again)! ;)

Thanks bro, for the helpful inputs! :)
