TnC: "The Bonus Interest Rate shall apply from 1 August 2022 to 30 June 2023 (both dates inclusive). "

For this 2.75% promotion, could there be something wrong with the dates because it states starting from first August even though the promo is from first October 2022 to June 2023?

Further, am I right to say there is no balance to compare against I.e. promotional interest is not based on incremental average daily balance?

could ADB be for the entire period of 1 August 2022 to 30 June 2023?
In other words, if I have no money in the account from first August to 30th September, it will bring down the ADB for this period?

and the bonus interest is only payable after June 2023?

hope I am thinking too much

No need to compare previous month balance. ADB per month basis so even you skip one month with zero balance just missed the one month interest. Bonus is payable around one month as I can’t remember whole details

I am priority customer but I never get the invitation. Oh well, maybe because of my eSaver always has zero balance and I only use their trading account.

Why don't you guys read the tnc instead of guessing ? The link is in the email but as a picture. See the part marked in pink.

But please refer to your own email as mine seems to be on a different cycle - joined in Aug 2022 (with incremental $100k on 31 Aug with reference to 31 Jul balance) and now extended to Jun 2023.

My tnc states :
5. For the purposes of this Promotion, the following Bonus Interest Rates shall apply:
a. From 1 August 2022 to 30 September 2022 (both dates inclusive), the Bonus Interest Rate shall be 1.75% p.a.;
b. From 1 October 2022 to 28 February 2023 (both dates inclusive), the Bonus Interest Rate shall be 2.75% p.a.

The email refers to "Qualifying Account". So means the account which u have previously deposited more than 100k in the previous promo. So guys with more than 1 esaver acct, take note to deposit in that same account. If you deposit in the account which u did not put in more than 100k for the previous promo, you might not get the 2.8% interest because that would not be the Qualifying Account.

I received this same invitation last night. The T&Cs state 2.75% from 1 Oct 2022 to 28 Feb 2023 but the email invite indicate till Jun 2023. So there is a mismatch between the end dates (Feb 2023 vs Jun 2023).

I have a single and a joint account.

The invitation email received in Aug says eligible if primary account holder, so I called up the hotline and they confirmed I am the primary account holder of the joint account.

So I deposited $100,000 each in both single and joint account. On 15 Sep, both accounts received the exclusive bonus interest.

With this current Esaver promo interests of 2.8%pa which is comparable or even better than bank FD rates, there is actually no need to lock up your funds in any FDs.

Simply park your available funds in Esaver while waiting for FD interests rate to soar within the next 6-9 mths before you commit to any.

the email says "extended till June 2023" ;) which is probably why the T&C remains as Feb

I really think there are different email target different customers. My mail just received do not have 100k reference there and expiry is end May next year not June. My wife's recent one received for 2.2% promotion with the 100k term reference. Proabbly I kept more than 100k before and have been with SCB for long so do not need this any more....

This is real good and if there is an easy way to withdraw CPF-OA then put there better than OA already ;)
