Hi all,
I am looking around to get a cheap plan for my dad, who is not tech savvy and just need a basic plan for simple Whatsapp and some voice calls. He told me his current plan with Singtel has too much data allowance and he doesn't need that much and wants to pay lesser so I am helping him to look around as he doesn't know anything about MVNO
I saw they have this plan for Seniors (
https://simba.sg/seniors-sim-only-plan) and it fits perfectly what he needs I feel
Questions
1) Porting in and retaining his current number would be workable? Also for SIM Card, would it be easier for him to collect straight from the shops/dealers or through mail? I just want to minimize disruption and seamless transition as much as possible
2) When I was doing a mock sign up (to see how it is like)
It mentioned "
I acknowledge the mobile voice calls to emergency services will work on the supported devices published at here (https://www.simba.sg/static/media/VoLTE-Devices.255035f9.pdf)"
I do not see my dad's phone model inside the pdf. What does the above mean really? Does this mean he cannot call 995,999 or whatever when on SIMBA plan if his phone model is not supported?
3) Has SIMBA network improved since the days of TPG? I signed up their free plan previously when they launched but had problems in the trains and some places have totally crap signal/no network availability.
Thanks all
