Want to sue BlueSG for bald tyres causing skidding, or brakes not functioning, thereby causing bank account to go bald? BlueSG has it well-shielded that even any successful payout is limited.

People like to rent without reading TnCs then come post sob stories about paying excess over small scratches...so many cases already still never wise up :s22:

My worry is the new blueSG cars more power then can see them full pedal lane 1 :frown:

Plus these users do not wish to pay extra coverage on the excess cos they think it won't happen to them. When happens come forum write long long sad stories.
Seen many such here... Hopes they would think twice before renting again.

The problem is BlueSG does not provide users an option to add additional coverage
It's default 5+5 or 8+8 if you're inexperienced

If probably part of their business model to earn by always charging the maximum excess whenever they can (a unscrupulous practice that many car rental companies have been practicing for ages)

Getgo on the other hand is 3+3 and has an option to lower to 1.6+1.6 if you pay a 5% premium

It's not a regulation they must offer CDWs.

I posted b4.... reading the TnC, their lawyer did a good job..:D

LOL, the renters looked like have very little recourse if any with the TnC.

I read liao and seems like if anything happened when using, it's as if not their problem but it's the renter's problem 🤣

actually wonder isn't selling CDW add on another better way to earn money than from getting excess.
Not really, the excess is payable to the workshop/insurance company, not to the car rental anyway. I don't know how CDW will help the car rental in this case.

oh i mean like why don't sell insurance add-on like other more traditional rental companies out there to earn the premium (or at least a portion of it)

That is food for thought, but it's probably up to the car rental company to decide. Might be too troublesome, however they might get better users and less hassle of facing such idiots who cause accidents and still demand that the rental company assist them in their excess and breakdown of repairs.
