Was it a ported number? Give it a few days. I usually have issues receiving calls and sms for the first few days after porting as the other telcos update where my phone number is

I am using M1 4G plan. Noticed the same issue as you on green line west side. Can’t even load my web pages. Going to port out of M1 soon.

They should have RF engineers that test all these. If they can't even get things done properly, I'm speechless.

I did some field testing and I'm honestly not sure what's going on.

Saw some M1 Nokia small cells at Plaza Singapura. Both SH and M1 SIM cards connected to 5G.
Saw some StarHub Nokia small cells at Nex. Only SH SIM cards connected to 5G.
Saw some StarHub Nokia small cells at Waterway Point. Both SH and M1 SIM cards connected to 5G.

All the examples above have Antina labels on them.

So sometimes both telco sim cards connect to the Antina cells, and sometimes only one of them can, not really sure what's going on

Wah, the connectivity so jialat ah?

I was about to get the 100GB Forever plan.

Quite good leh, at least for me I have no issues, can even get 1Gbps+ on M1 5G.

The pricing a bit scummy though, 5G is only "free" for 6 months, then after that it's $2 for another 6 months. Then after that $5 permanently.

M1 is far and away the cheapest 5G service, and it's honestly not bad. Better than GOMO unless you really need 5G on the NEL.

Try it for yourself. No telco is perfect. There are areas where M1 has better coverage than Singtel and StarHub, and vice versa. No one will be able to advise you as no one will always be at the same location at the same time as you.

those who just ported and using that 5go booster. if you dont received any sms to confirm that your porting is successful, pls do call their hotline or enquire through their mindy chatbot. most likely the activation process is not proper. same happen to me before. wait till 2weeks for the sms.

Not bad speed (from video)

I notice m1 5g coverage is not really as good as SingTel.

Travel along the East West line (land stations) the m1 5g on and off. While SingTel have coverage on all or most land mrt station.

I should have remain with Starhub, M1’s 4G and 5G is less stable and slower compared to Starhub, the reason why I’m going with M1 is the data passport, other than that probably it may not be wise to go with M1.

You can always have different channels in the same spectrum lot.

For example, maybe 50MHz each to deploy inside the buildings?

I think this is quite unlikely. I can get 1Gbps+ indoor also on M1 antennas, which isn't possible with 50MHz even with MIMO (from what I remember).

Also I can connect to the Starhub Antina antennas on my M1 SIM at Nex now.

I suspect 5G is not even properly implemented in SG though telco claimed to have so high percentage coverage and 5G technology and problems from Nokia are just inferior.

What is the proper setting for iPhone14 M1 5G? Having a lot of issues after activating SA mode. Cannot receive and make calls and frequent disconnections. Is this normal?

I believe iPhones do not have VoNR enabled so unlike Android you cannot make calls on 5G.
