Thanks. I see the that the China listings (which are cheaper) and the Xiaomi Singapore listing are both listed as model MJML06-FJ. The packaging looks the same too (just with the additional EIN [Era International Network] distributor sticker). Does the local sets have some additional software configuration or something so that it works on Singapore server?
I highly doubt it can be link to Singapore server using china version. China version got face recognition function in mi home app which is not available to global version. Global version only gets to have free 72 hours storage after which it will be override. To me the important aspect is no lag and usable. Last time china version totally not usable at all.

Do you mind checking what is the model number of your Singapore set vs the China set?

Same MJML06-FJ I don't think the model is something like handphone where they differentiate between china set and global set. More like internally the firmware which makes the difference. If someone can access to flash the firmware then there's chances a china set can be flash to become global set.

however dont forget abt cloud storage which is probably tied to the region / firmware, just like their confusing various versions of IP cams in the past :s13:
but i see now xiaomi tw (usually global firmware) also have their official release leh, $70+

It works this way. Once u flash to global firmware e.g I am using mi 12s ultra and have flash to Xiaomi eu custom ROM. I no longer get access to mi cloud services from china which have mi drive. The same goes for such devices your cloud storage becomes like global where they give u only 72hours free and after which the old records get override unless u download it. In china u need to subscribe for the storage and last time when Xiaomi didn't tighten down such region restrictions I manage to grab their first generation router that came with 1 year free 1TB cloud storage and I even my phone can store alot of phones into their mi cloud. After they realize that china needs to differentiate between region then all global account only can get Hong Kong mi cloud services.

Which model includes motion sensor and will light up brightly when people walk pass?

@KaiserBreath You need something like the Nest Cam with floodlight (wired).

Don’t know if the Logitech Circle View Doorbell will do what you want but it does have a small spotlight, the only one I can recall. Apple friendly only. No Alexa or Hey Google.
O floodlight that one like overkill lol. I just need something that when shady people walk near, they know that they are being monitored can already.

I see Eufy ones have a rim light at the button. Do they light up upon motion sensor activation?

Are Eufy cameras doorbell cameras good?

Btw, those doorbell camera can replace at the bto default doorbell switch position right?
