为什么新加坡的华文程度不高?

I always say 走前面，
Didn't know correct should be 向前走

last time the Jin Yong/Gu Long books wasn't that popularly made into a show... I mean there's was a lot but not like one year one.. so that sparked my interest to read the book instead....

plus all the comics came in Chinese... you either read Chinese or you don't read...

Never use much Chinese naturally standard will drop..

Last time primary school, I used to read Chinese-translated manga, bought from comic connection haha.. Think at that time manga not so popular in the western world yet, so no angmo version..

Now usually people read manga online which are all english translated..

if you fail 2nd language, you still be promoted to next level.
if you fail 1st language, you need to repeat another year.
this was during my time lah. not sure about now.
