Which model includes motion sensor and will light up brightly when people walk pass?

Recently my area got shady people stealing stuff.. wanna use that as deterrence.
I am using Tuya smart video doorbell which is quite decent. Has motion sensor and the circle rim will flash red/blue when motion is detected to capture photo or video (if microSD card or cloud storage is active). But there’s a bit of delay in the capture just like most other video doorbells so if the person walk pass quickly or leave within 3 seconds then may not be able to capture fully.

Got other sellers that sell for cheaper as well on those platforms below but these 2 are the ones with more reviews. Lazada and AliExpress also have.

Battery life will depend on how often your doorbell is pressed, whether motion sensor is turned on and also it’s sensitivity level and how often it’s capturing movement, whether it’s capturing photo only or both photo and video (microSD card or cloud subscription required), how often you manually use the live view (you can open the phone app to see as often as you like).

I have only used it for 2 months so far and the battery is 40% at the moment. At the start I played with it a lot more by manually using the live view and also the motion sensor was initially turned on for the first week. After that, the motion sensor is turned off 95% of the time as I only turn it on when no one is home. Also for the automatic capture it’s only photos as I don’t have microSD card or cloud subscription in use. I will assume with video capture more battery will be used. I would say if you’re using all the features like motion sensor turned on (and how often it’s capturing movement) and video capture it will probably last only 3 to 4 weeks for every full charge.

My Google doorbell (battery) suddenly seems frozen. Kept blinking white LED, the white LED would light up for few secs before it blink.

Can’t reset to factory and can’t connect to app, seems frozen.

Used for 5.5 months now. Anyone have the same issue or solution to this issue? TIA.

There should be a reset pin located below the USB port on the back of the doorbell.

Yeah, tried that, it doesn’t allow me to reset it to factory. It seems to be stuck on a restarting loop. The white LED constantly light up a few secs then disappear, then repeat endlessly.

I have sent in for repair, not sure if I should buy another one for the time being, as I don’t have a doorbell now… Read some reviews, Google Doorbell seems to be the best one for use with Google home display, other brand may have delay or may not even show up.

Are you staying in HDB? If you are, when you press the doorbell, will the HDB doorbell chime sound?

Yes HDB resale. I don't have a chime in my place. Will be planning to use my sonos arc as a chijme instead

I have the Gen1 Hello, and it has the device to reroute the wire to the chime, however I'm not able to make it work with the chime.

If any bros here is able to successfully integrate the Nest Hello with the HDB chime, please let me know, thank you.

Ya i got no intent on using a separate chijme cos they are better ways to go about it like as you said, the Nest hub (2nd Gen) which can be used as a door viewer and chijme together

O floodlight that one like overkill lol. I just need something that when shady people walk near, they know that they are being monitored can already.

I see Eufy ones have a rim light at the button. Do they light up upon motion sensor activation?

Are Eufy cameras doorbell cameras good?

Btw, those doorbell camera can replace at the bto default doorbell switch position right?

I'm using Eufy battery doorbell. Yup the rim lights up upon motion activation.

Camera is very good 👍 it picks up motion 99% of the time.

Yep I bought the battery version too and was able to convert it into a wired version via the default hdb doorbell switch outside!

No longer need to charge battery everytime!
