Would like to seek opinions on this LG diamond from jp. Particularly on the if it’s worth the buy? Any concerns I should have on the inclusions or proportions of the diamond like the pavilion depth?

Oh that's the Gcal8x certificate. they have actual pictures and videos of your diamond, i think no cert in the world currently gives you actual videos of the diamonds, super cool to see all that not surprised that JP picked gcal for their grading lab.

from the specs VVS1 , dont seem to have any issues especially for a VVS1 stone. The videos of the diamond are very clean , and if there were durability issues i doubt gcal will grade it as VVS1.

What i learnt from Eugene is that Gcal grading metrics is as strict as the previous GIA standard ( which is much stricter than the current standards of GIA)

This diamond is a beauty, have you got any videos to share perhaps? I mean you can request from the JP rep.

Oh wow gcal8x already did a proprietary cert with jannpaul? The thread posted on pricescope was true then. Btw all their videos are provided on the e cert, it’s extremely comprehensive. You can have a look through the pricescope gcal8x webinar to learn about each of their assessment

Hi all, recently I went to JannPaul and they introduced me this LG decagon diamond 0.92c. The grading for the diamond is grade D, clarity IF. It is grade by the GCAL. I was quoted 3.5k for this . Is this a good buy for this diamond?

compared several LGD and price shared by others in this thread, seems like GCAL certified LGD is slight cheaper vs AGS?
or maybe ndividual salesperson have liberty to quote/offer discount within their limit?

I dropped by 1 day after the fire, it was a very small fire at a corner so no one was injured, they called up to ask if i would like to come by another day due to the smell lol but i insisted on dropping by cos of my timeline, i already knew i wanted the decagon. They were very nice to attend to us still, but we were all at their mini office so it was still very comfortable, there were still many clients and they were super apologetic about everything. they said it was surpar service lol but still better than any place i went to try on, thumbs up to the people at jp i have been reading alot and can tell they are super dedicated. Finally lock onto my decagon after recommending to some people at forums last year too

Have you seen the ASET images yourself ?
cuz usually the ones in the cert are just scanned images and best to view the ASET of that diamond in person.

I’m abit skeptical base on the following experience:
1. Sales person promotes the round 8 despite online showing that decagon is the best. I don’t deny that R8 does look better than decagon when at a distance because decagon facet is too small to capture our attention.
2. Worrying that they are trying to flush out the old stocks. Comments such as “there won’t be new stock due to current stock availability” and “lack of supply due to wars going on”. I am unable to compare properly due to the lack of supply (don’t have 0.6 caret, don’t have this and that).
3. I want bring the price down but they don’t have stock. With the bank failure going on, worry about my job stability liao. By the way, not looking at lab grown diamond.

tbh i’ve seen all their white series cuts, decagon looks better than the best sic in all lighting conditions, have you seen it outdoors/ white light? Even for the size you’re going for I’d go for the decagon, what’s your options for decagon naturals? I believe they do pre-orders as well
