can I check the power drawn would be similar

IF I buy a mini pc
vs
mini itx build using SFX PSU ( but I see the smallest SFX in SG is like 500w). Since 90% for gold PSU is probably at 80% load I think it will be efficient rite?

Issue is I may be playing Diablo 4.

Thanks

Sorry all, new to this minipc thing...

Browse through some of the mini pc listing.

Most are with 500gb diskspace - no see 1tb.

Are we able to ownself do upgrade to 1tb?

If I want to connect a speaker to this minipc, it's via headphone jack only right?

thanks in advance

minisforum and beelink model offers many configuration options... from barebone to 32GB ram and 2TB Nvme options, some latest AMD Ryzen can goes up to 64GB of ram.

If you wish to do the upgrade yourself can order barebone and then add in your own Ram and SSD, very easy to open up the casing and put in the upgrades but then you'll have to install your own Windows and licensing.

Speaker there only 3.5mm output but you can plug your own USB soundcard like the SB X4.

dun think so, most mini PCs are using mobile CPU (with iGPU) with roughly 45W TDP so the max power drawn will be less than 100W while mini ITX build are usually desktop grade CPU so adding in additional dedicated GPU card the power drawn will definitely be in the 250W and above range.

Mini PCs with integrated GPU are usually used for productivity and occasional gaming purposes, if you looking to play AAA titles then they are not that powerful or can sustain performance for prolong period of time (you'll wear out the internal fan faster).

yeah bluetooth also can but sometime will have slight delay or broken signal + not many PC speakers got BT input (maybe those soundbar type) so choices are quite limited.

Another alternative (for productivity uses) if not particular with sound quality is thru HDMI but your HDMI monitor needs to have built-in speakers. Want to go hardcore abit can route it thru a AVR then you can have 5.1/7.1 sound.

the config options on the purchase page should allow you to select or choose barebone, 16Gb Ram/512SSD, 32Gb Ram/1TB etc...

not only can buy from Taobao, Amazon US/SG, or local e-comm platform all got sell... can compare prices first.

recommended brands are Minisforum and Beelink.
