Hi, I do not know very well about PC parts and just did my own research online. I wanted to build a white PC, but I am unsure if the specs below are okay.

LIAN LI PC-011 AIR MINI White
Intel Core i5-13600K
Gigabyte B660M AORUS Pro AX DDR4 MATX
wd black sn850x 1tb
CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO SL 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 DRAM 3600MHz C18 Memory Kit – White
MSI MPG A750GF
Zotac Gaming RTX3070 Twin Edge OC White Edition 8GB GDDR6
Any white AIO to recommend?

if I choose to use instead a i5 13600K, would the b650m be a suitable mobo?
no, they will not be compatible. u will need to go bX60/zX90.
Hi bro. Is there an adapter to convert that USB 3 Gen 2 connectors head into maybe sata so that I can plug into sata port on the MB?
i do not think so.
How is the asus z790 prime-p mobo and is it recommended ?
if the z690 model is anything to go by, it should be a decent pick. connectivity might be limited for a zX70 board though.

id suggest u drop the 13600k to a 13500 since u are getting a b660 board, the performance should be fairly similar while u save on the premium for an unlocked cpu. everything else looks good. as for aio, u can look at the lian li galahad.
Anyone can further comment or help with it? Thanks.

like what i suggested for zzxxinyi, if ur not looking to oc (which u cannot do with a b660 board), then a 13500 is a more sensible option. out of the b660s u listed, all are fairly solid picks so just get whichever is cheapest or fits ur needs (eg number of usb/nvme slots, design). not sure why u would not want to reuse ur 3080 to downgrade to a 2nd hand 3070 though. u can also downsize even further with the tecware fusion case, which is about the size of the nr200, though u will need to watch out for psu and gpu clearances.

u can mix and match the suggestions like what @Duramis did. for eg, u can take the 13700f + b660 + ram + cooler from the 3.2k rig and pair it with the rest of the components from the 2.7k rig and u have a photo/video editing and 3d modelling monster while still staying in ur budget.
Thank you!

Hi, sorry did not make clear. This is for my 2nd PC build from scratch on MATX casing. 1st PC (son using) is already on 3080.
I will look into getting a 13500 then. Thanks.

Between the ram in the 3.2k setup vs the 2.7k, which ram would you go for? That's because I see that the ram in the 2.7k was more recommended by you?

Thanks for your suggestion. I have decided to go with MSI B660M MORTAR mobo as the design looks better. While looking online, I saw that there are MSI MAG B660M MORTAR MAX WIFI DDR4 and MAG B660M MORTAR WIFI DDR4 mobo. What is the difference and if using 13500 as you suggested, does it matter which one I go for?

Hi, I was shortlisting those as well. Max wifi is with 6E, so if you have a router with 6E wifi, then good for you. The audio chip is also different model.

On a side note, B760 and B660 board for i5-13500, which is better or value for money? B760 is newer and can support 13th gen out of the box, whereas B660 need to flash bios for some boards?

My i5-2500k has gone Kaput.

What would be a good intel equivalent for current Gen Intel setups?

Am using PC for basic needs like youtube, netflix and light gaming like two point hospital.

Budget about 1k without Monitor.
Reusing 2x dell 2713HM

its not more recommended, it was recommended to tighten the timings manually, as ryzen (as suggested in that build) is very sensitive to memory timings.
for intel though, they are less of a concern and thats why i suggested the slower 5200c40 kit which is significantly cheaper for a smaller loss in performance.

the max version can overclock 12th gen locked cpus via base clock oc. it cannot do the same with 13th gen though, so if it costs more u shouldnt get it for the 13500.

flashing bios is not a big decider of value, if really need to flash then can ask the shop to flash for u on the spot. i heard b760 should be cheaper, though glancing at price list it doesnt look like a big difference. then again, if it is cheaper and newer it seems like a no brainer to me.

u can look at the cheapest rig suggested. while u probably dont need a dgpu, i would still recommend u spend a bit more to get the alternative ryzen 5 5600g for more igpu power and maybe get a decent nvme like those suggested in more expensive builds since u have the budget for it.

the first one with the 3060ti seems pretty decent, the rest not so much. personally, id avoid aftershock. if u know how to diy, the 6650xt build i recommended is better value, as u can get a cheapo case (which aftershock does anyway) and make it cost just under 1k while getting at least 90% of the performance, along with better quality parts with full distro warranty.

for ur use case, u probably wont notice the difference with the 5700x, no point spending the premium over the 5600 (and losing gpu power in the process).

Hi Gurus,

My PC of 8 years (i5-6500, GTX 970) is starting to become slow so I guess it time for an upgrade.

Planning to play Diablo 4, Civ 7 and FF16.
Budget is around $3000-$3500 inclusive of monitor.
Don’t plan to overclock. Can do without wifi.
Don’t need RGB lighting
Use for next 5 years

I am undecided between an Intel or AMD rig? I took reference from Nightraven’s recommendations and came out with the below.

ryzen 5 7600 + gigabyte b650m ds3h
or core i7-13700f + asus tuf gaming b660m plus wifi d5
654
757
Tradepac
dynacore
Bequiet Pure Rock 2 Black61Dynacore
gigabyte aorus 2x 16gb 5200c40 ddr5199dynacore
wd black sn850x 1tb169dynacore
zotac rtx 4070 ti trinity
or powercolor rx 7900 xt hellhound
1238
1449
Dynacore
PC Themes
Super Flower Legion GX Pro 850w 80+ Gold127Bizgram
Tecware Nexus Air M256Bizgram

Any comments to the setup? What would be a good gaming monitor to get? TIA!

if just gaming, i would say going amd is the better choice as gaming performance will be indistinguishable between intel and amd while the 7600 consumes a lot less power and the combo as a whole costs a fair bit less, plus am5 actually still has a future. if u do go amd though, it is essential to get faster ddr5 such as the gskill 6000c36 kit that was recommended alongside the 7600. im not so sure the pure rock 2 is a good value pick, as the id cooling se 224 xt performs slightly better but is almost half the price. as for the gpu, perhaps sticking to the 4070ti is better value. psu is a decent pick but for their legion gx pro series, i wouldnt consider anything other than the 650w unit due to the fixed sata/molex cables and shorter warranty compared to other units at this power level. u can also get the nexus air m2 for cheaper at techdeals, but id recommend u swap it out entirely as it cannot fit either the gpus u are considering and its honestly not a very good case.
What would be a good gaming monitor to get? TIA!
u can refer to here: https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/threads/summary-gaming-monitor-recommendations.6342454/

u can take the last 3.2k rig recommendation and swap out the gpu for the alternative 4080 that was also suggested.

yeah. there will likely be a build fee unless u get all the parts from the same shop that u build at though.

For SSD, would you all go for the one with heatsink or the one without? :s11:

Between the Lian Li dynamic mini air 011 and Lian Li dynamic mini 011, which one can a CM MWE gold v2 650w be installed? Or are they the same?:ROFLMAO:

Can the MSI gaming x trio 3070 be fitted in either of them as well?
