if you had 4k res support why would you wanna try 1440p???

As I've mentioned, if I set performance mode and game need to drop resolution to increase framerate it should drop to 1440p, but since 4K TVs don't support this mode it will use 1080p instead.

But for those using 1440p monitor, they may actually have 1440p mode with faster fps than 4K and higher res than 1080p.

Example a game may run at 4K 30fps and it can go 1440p 60 fps or 1080p 90fps, which means we either had the first or the last but not the middle one.

Updated the new firmware, finally it solved flickering issues on 4k 120k with vrr on for some games on ips panel, nice!

Finally got my ps5. I have a noob question.

What is the redeem code inside pyshical game disk for? Is it a digital copy? If i buy a physical game and redeem the code, can i sell the disk after i've finished the game? Will I still be able to replay the game with the the digital code?

Congratulations! DLC or cosmetic if i am not mistaken. Cosmetic example attire, weapons, etc.

cannot. only sell the disc when you don't want to play anymore or intend to purchase the game from psn store.

You need to insert disc to play for physical games, even if game is fully installed in the SSD.

Only PSN (i.e. digital) games allow you to play without a disc.

I sit on a lay back relax chair so I'm generally in a slouched position. However, every now and then I will sit up straight on the chair to play games, this allows me to periodically straighten my back.

My WD Black 4TB SSD has finally shipped from Amazon!

Currently using the same model but 2TB on my PS5, I assume can just remove the current one and replace with new one when it arrives?

Anything to look out for before/after swapping the SSD?

Currently in Japan now. A ps5 disk version with one controller is selling 60000 yen now and with tax. Foreigner can claim tax free another 10% off and imagine how much cheaper to buy there. Basically anyone can buy a ps5 over there now.

VR2 is about 75000 yen

Dualsense is 8200 yen. White wan is even cheaper.

But the problem is. It is very hard to carry it back. Unless u travel light and with a big luggage to check in.
