I see the website say can apply for china mobile mainland number using the 1 card multi number service? the number can be used in singapore? I want to make sure before i port in as i need a china number to register for china sites.
Checked w them, have to sign up for CM SG then can add CM China & CM HK @ $5/mth/line, total additional $10 for 2 additional CM China & HK line.
But usage in China will be charged roaming and not local rates as its CM SG line, thus count as roaming.
Also for CM China & HK, can receive calls in, but cannot call out.

Can call out using normal Singapore number. It treated as Singapore Local call right?

That is if you are in Singapore, then all usage like calls/message/data count as local usage.
Anything calls/message apart from the data included for usage overseas, count as roaming, that is including CM CN & HK when you are physically there.

The $5 added China number is for the purpose of user in Singapore to receive SMS or call. Otherwise, better buy a local SIM Card.

Just moved to cmlink from giga.
From placing order on Monday night, receiving Sim on Wednesday afternoon, to complete port over to cmlink this morning, whole process is smooth. Now just to to verify the billing.

There is no cmlink mobile app for sg based users right?

Your understanding is correct. The "1CMN" is an add-on and NOT a base plan. One cannot call out using the Chinese or HK number, only to receive SMS and calls.

The base plan which is a Singapore number and function as any other lines for daily calls/sms/data.

Web based only, no app. SMS checks also available.

If you already have a CM CN line and intention is mostly for receiving SMS, simply download an official China Mobile App call JegoTrip (无忧行) Then bind your CM CN number to this app and can receive SMS and even calls through this app. No need to pay $5 per month.

However, once bind to and activated the CM CN line on this app, one cannot use the SIM card on another phone. If activated the CM CN Sim card on another phone, it will automatically unbind from this app.

Nice, how did you get it in CN?
Last I recalled it being strict and troublesome to get it pre-covid that is.
Yeah they are now very strict and required ID + extras doc for foreigners. Even for local, ID is a must.

I got them quite a while back (> 5 years).
