engineering. gaming is huge plus as he do gaming.
Among all the laptops listed, I will recommend the Lenovo Ideapad gaming 3

not that its for gaming but the gaming specs with rtx 3050, it will be useful if he need to do 3d modelling

the next best choice imo will be the Asus Vivobook with GTX1650 Max Q though take note that this is an 3-yesr old entry graphic card but its good enough for 3d modelling, animation, video editing etc

my current Lenovo Legion 5 is GTX1650

Most of the models listed are integrated graphics… which is fine for things like web browsing, word, ppt, excel, emails

but not for 3d modelling

thank you for your input. may just consider buy directly from lenovo or via lazada. seems like the student prices nothing special at all.
