Meteorite gmt. Lol good to have dreams.
I just buy mine on the Grey. Faster better and probably alot cheaper.
You never spend 300-400k a year no talk.
Meteorite Daytona. 6 models. Some ad only receive 1 out of the 6 over the course of its production period.

5164r. You probably have to buy a moser tourb from cortina
Literally what I meant when I said shot in the dark 🙃

You know sometimes you don’t have to be condescending.
legit question leh, some SA will laugh or maybe smile when you ask for the sky, especially if your spending with them is not big.

for me, i never ask for something i know it's not possible with the little spending i did with them.
like walking to MB&F and they ask me to put name on the waiting list, i laugh together with the SA, telling them for what, if i want i buy grey. where got time go queue + go buy nonsensical stuff just to get a watch

i bought 15-20 shitty datejust from cortina and i got nothing from them in 2018-2019 (when everything wasn't at peak) at Raffles outlet
went to paragon, complain to another SA, he look at my profile, he told me he can do something for me.
i had to bundle another moser to get a rootbeer - sold them both away, net me 1k only (only because i wanna test the theory if cortina really give them together) and i don't need a rootbeer (never needed one)
buy 2 iwc mark pilot (titanium and ceramic top gun) for a sub date.

got myself blacklisted (LOL) because i fk the SA, told them to fug off, my money is better spent elsewhere if this is how they treat me

what AD experience? AD experience is when you have too much funds to burn. I rather go boutique route. small spender at IWC, still got send me Xmas and CNY goodies and champagne. song song gao joon koon

Tired of the waiting game.

Planning to go grey for my first Rolex.

Looking at Submariner Date Black 126610LN.

Question now is to buy brand new at $19k++, or get a second hand at $17k++?

Gonna be using it as a daily beater.

Any thoughts and opinions?

Also recommend some reputable grey dealer please!

Saw a lot of listing on Carousell but not sure which are the trustworthy and genuine ones!

Thanks in advance!

The IWC bundle sounds reasonable not going to lie… If presented the opportunity (1 IWC and another watch maybe Tudor or even a Speedmaster) I may jump at it! Just curious how long was the wait or is it instant?

According to SA, even John Mayer Daytona is Uber rare before it was discontinued last month. So ya, some of customer's request can be futile but perhaps the SA can help to provide some clarity whether it's possible or not

If you are going to use it as a daily beater you might as well go for the 17k+ one, some of the "brand new" ones might not actually be "brand new" anyway.

It would be better for you to check the watch first-hand and determine whether the condition is acceptable to you or not, if the 17k+ one is fine for you I don't see the need to buy the "brand new" 19k+ one for you to beat it down daily.

John Mayer was rare although not as rare as the GMT Meteorite. The most rare would be the discontinued Daytona Meteorite. My SA has never seen even a piece at their boutique during the entire production run. And I have only seen once of a VIP customer getting it from the AD. On Chrono24, I saw once a listing going at almost 5 times it’s retail price

Fair point, some brand new may not actually be brand new…

$2k savings is q substantial.

Just curious, what are you guys take on 116610LN vs 126610LN?

I once spoke to my SA about pepsi meteorite too(never placed interest in it because I know at my level I will never be able to get it), he mentioned that he has ever only seen 1 come by to their outlet.

To be honest, i think the 40mm ver is much better value for money.

Side by side the only significant difference that I can see is the bracelet width being wider.

But you ever considered the no-date ver? Since its only available in black, its timeless and looks better without the cyclops.

I prefer the 126610LN as it is a bigger size (greater wrist presence) and also upgraded movement with 70hours power reserve compared to 116610LN

I also think very little point to get new new unless purely to feel shiok. Cuz after wearing for a while, it will get scratches etc. might as well get one preowned but in good condition and price
