Sent in my 1 ii for warranty in the last month of the 3 mths extended warranty for a green line that appeared on the screen. They literally gave me a brand new unit

Looks like as long as within warranty, their service is generally quite good. My Z3 also 1 to 1 exchange for water ingress. But my 5ii oled line appear outside of warranty they quote me 1k for repair

Yes but I like the peace of mind w the sacrificial tempered glass. I had my XZ1 screen unfortunately scratched by keys before when I absentmindedly put it in the same pocket so never again.

Yeah, so last month of warranty time to scrutinize and see if anything needs to repair. Took them a week to deliberate before giving me that new unit. 1k probably because they are literally giving you a new phone instead of doing inhouse repairs, so it's fortunately or unfortunately either all or nothing.

Black. Sad there's no purple. My 1ii and 1iii both purple. Don't like khaki green, reminds me too much of army.

Not sure about Xperia 1 V, but just now I pre order Xperia 10 v and they allow me to chose pick up point (although only have Wisma store).

Yes glass has improved, but would rather not go test that out, because it's a one way road. Tap delay not significant for my use case. I don't really game on my phone. Even if warranty does cover, the hassle of having to send it for warranty is a pain, not to mention the one week downtime. Would rather not have to send for warranty for any reason, even if it's a one to one exchange. Even my 1ii I was able to send for warranty because I just got the 1iii.

yes I always buy case and tempered glass. Also camera glass.
