Amex Pay (QR code)

SG QR is almost everywhere.... but not all SG QR includes Amex. In fact, it is rather rare.

Those that can use Amex I believe are the NETS enabled ones, so most hawkers do accept it as part of the roll out partly subsidised by the govt.

Using Amex Pay with QR will get any points or miles? I have Amex Plat card and Amex cashback card.

Don't see the reason why not. It appears just like anyother purchases (except there's a "=" prefix in the description) .

it happens for me every now and then, and I haven't figure out why, usually occurs when my phone is updated it will result in having to reset it.

But once you set it up again it works.

This happened to me many times and when I set it up again, it actually registers as a new device. Eventually I exceeded the max number of devices allowed to be registered (which is 5 devices) and had to ask AMEX to deregister all devices and add again.

All along I thot Amex Pay is for atas merchant but now more hawker got paste logo so I can use. 3% rebate can use liao need faster use finish before 6 months period up.

But think hawker seldom see Amex Pay just now I pay show screen they never see before ask me. They usually see DBS Paylah,Grabpay,ActiveSG etc. They check their side ok. To hawker as long as the payment mode work they ok.

I am starting to change my perception of Amex. Their atas image make me scared but now I know they can be down to earth so I shall use their card more longer.

Usually it is in the logo under the QR code. But always try, no harm because if it doesn't work the app would say that

Don't think this is true. The settlement cycle via NETS is indifferent - those are likely now on the government initiative via the hawker NETS QR.

This is not a cc settlement system - the details are transparent to the hawker and the banks bridge the funding gap

I think the worst thing about Amex Pay over all the others is that the payment screen isn't very friendly to hawkers. The amount text is so small.

That I agree. I already write to feedback to Amex. Old hawkers eyesight no good so the screen text especially the money dollars must print super large font. Hope they take the suggestion and next app update big font appear.

I keep encountering transaction unsuccessful when paying using amex pay at hawker.. sometimes can fail up to 5 times.. then i gave up.. not sure what's the issue..

Ask support to remove all Amex Pay registrations then try again

Was told to remove amex pay from phone uninstall and reinstall and register but still the same..

I had the same issue, called in and was told by the cso that they are aware of this issue and had feedback to their necessary department to resolve.

I've the same problem for the past two weeks. Very irritating. Once, all transactions failed but it still showed as pending on my account, chat with CSO, somehow it disappeared (didn't get posted) after a few days.

Now still encountering the same issue, once it fails, I change to Paylah. At first I thought is M1 4G CMI again but Paylah works so is not my phone or telco.
