5th day of sore throat. Now constantly feeling itchy and having a lot of cough like every few seconds. Taking ginger for relief.

Sore throat is a common illness
How is it possible to prevent it?
I suffered terribly from common illnesses, especially sore-throat. I even had my tonsils surgically removed without any relief.
At the start of Covid, I made changes to daily diet and nutrition (vitamin C & D, Zinc etc.). After almost 50 years of suffering, I have remained almost free of these diseases for the past 3+ years. Only one episode of mild flu end of March 2023 upon return from a holiday in Taiwan. So far remained free of Covid also.

I need to do piles ligation first. That one more urgent.
Life's tough with too many health problems.
My niece suffers from piles for many years. She told me recently that she's managing it better after making changes to diet and eating habit.

Doctor surgically removed my tonsils in 2007 at SGH. It helped little to offer relief to my sore-throat. Tonsils are a useful body part. I now regret getting rid of it.

1) I just had my two G1 piles and one grade 3 piles ligated. There was an occasion where I bleed so bad and my body become weak.

2) I have a grade 1 - left and grade 3 - right tonsil. Doctor offered to remove the grade 3 tonsil. For the grade 3 tonsil, one instance the white colour pus keeps flowing out when I pressed on it, also keep multiple lymph node on the right side of the neck. Recently I got 4 occurance, all happen on right side, accompany with flu like symptoms like fatigue, itchy throat, headache, phelgm. My is more of tonsilitis. For the grade 1 - left it has never give me any problem.

You take your's and your niece situation compare and symptoms compare with me, is it same? I lose abit of patience with lifestyle change and would have probably tried everything thought of and the symptoms keep getting worst already. So just opt to do a simple procedure for piles and cut away one of the asymmetric tonsils.

It appears to me that both your tonsil infections and piles are primarily a result of your weak immunity. I have benefited tremendously by talking to nutritionist and giving a try to boost my immunity with diet and nutrition. Literally zero "sore-throat" for 3+ years.
