Do you know if AppleCare+ 365 is eligible for pro rated refund like the regular AppleCare+ bought directly from Apple? If yes, the refund will be from Apple or Apple Authorised Service Provider (A.LAB/QCD)?

Also if say I have claimed battery replacement or accidental damage under AppleCare+ 365, will it still be eligible for pro rated refund?

this depends on a variety of factors like at what height, how it drops, got casing, screen protector, which iphone etc.

apple care standard 2y. no such thing as how long.

what do you mean any specific plan to buy screen replacement?

I mean by if the screen is broken or cracked. Does apple care covers and do free screen replacement?

My phones normally drops from table to floor. Samsung and LG phones normally no problem

Here are your answers all about Apple Care

As for your concern about screen breaking, that's rather subjective depending on the height, surface, condition of screen, etc. Friend and I have dropped our phones a few times. My iPhones have never had a broken screen while his Samsung phones have had cracked screen. His latest one only cracked the screen protector but the LCD is gone case.

Wanted to change to iPhone but my colleague's iPhone screen cracked after dropping once. She cracked hers 3x and repaired. For my LG and Samsung phones & tabs, with screen protector, drop is normally like performing stunts kind. It can be every few days one drop, so far the gorilla glass still protecting well no problem, except for once the screen had green lines after an update (2 years after purchase). That's the main reason holding me back from iPhone. But if apple is changing to stronger material for screen, that will be good. Samsung isn't any better now.

So don't you think our phones and examples show you that the problem doesn't lie with the phones, but instead the circumstances? I still use Android phones as backup for some matters, but seeing my friend's phone situation doesn't deter me from continuing so. Just continue to use good screen protectors and cases, if you already do.

If you are using a bare without without case & TG then once dropped it's likely to dent & crack. With a decent case & TG I don't see much chance you will crack your screen even from chest height drops. I've owned iPhone for the past 13 years and have never cracked my screen. Only TG crack due to certain angled drops & bumps.

Have owned three older model Samsung over the years, namely S3, Note 3 & Note 4. Which screens have never cracked too but it lags like crazy after 1.5years+ of ownership. Thus, i choose to only use iPhone even for my secondary phone.

Samsungs have very serious green lightsaber issues which (To me) it's worst than a crack & very heart-wrenching. (At least screen crack I have a clear reason to change screen, lightsaber idk want to change or not) Having the fear lightsaber will reappear over time again. :ROFLMAO:

Get Apple Care, then don't think so much since your new iPhone would be protected by a case and screen protector as well. Just enjoy it.

AC+ can be purchased at Apple Store after 60 days but you need to pass device physical inspection and Apple’s diagnostic interface. Not sure what’s their internal name for the process, but asking for “AC+ screening after 60 days of purchase”, reps will understand.

If its a local device, the rep can take payment in-store. If device is from another region rep will then submit a ticket up to their AC+ or agreements support team (backend) to get your device to pop up the AC+ purchase page (same as the 60 day purchase page). If there’s some form of glitching, with the purchase link not showing up you can call Apple Support, they will manually generate an email to receive payment for the pending AC+ agreement.

Pretty sure the version at authorized repair centers ALAB and QCD is exactly the same except for reseller discount; if it grants an AC+ agreement it should be international warranty coverage as well.

It is just the standard local electronics distributor disingenuous language to claim “local distributor warranty”, “Singapore only” trying to say you only can get support if you buy from nobody else but us.

Pretty sure our resident Apple South Asia pte ltd spy can confirm at least for the Apple Store part of this comment.

Also, AC+ agreement date starts from *that* purchase date + 2 years. Meaning it is technically possible to go on standard 1 year warranty -1 day + 2 year AC+ stacked giving you 3 years of HW coverage in total in the iPhone if you are a relic keeper instead of annual upgrader as long as you can stay away from Customer Induced Damage on Y1.

Apple care+ from Apple:
1) 60 days to purchase.
2) International support.

Apple care+ 365 from Alab/QCD:
1) 365 days to purchase.
2) Singapore support only.

You cant buy AC+ 365 in Apple store. Just go to other QCD or Alab to buy.

The new AC+ can be bought within a year from the purchased date. That’s what the Apple Store staff told me. AC+ starts on purchase date.

Yes, Apple care+ after 60 days you need to go down to Apple store and have them check out your phone before they allow you to purchase Apple care+. So yes, you can still buy Apple care+ directly from Apple when your 1yr warranty is about to expired, provided it pass Apple testing.

Now my question is, does Apple care 365 support international warranty? Can someone confirm this?
