u lucky man... if other seller *COUGH*.. he sure tell u "Sir, pls wait patently for the new rom update."
Haha ok I count my lucky stars that I one shot dio responsible seller! But I caved in and bought local set from RWM. When repaired set comes back will pass to family member. Can check with you all, for PRC set I never set up Xiaomi account. Local set should set up? Photos all backed to google photos so I don’t know what this Xiaomi account is for. I managed to download all my PRC version apps so it’s all good on that front.

Xiaomi phone quality is really bad.
My 2 month old mi 11 lite already having power button issue lol

While my Huawei has been problem free for 5 years.

Any known issue for mi 13 lite? Really need something that is reliable.

I realise that the phone software has a few differences between China and global ROM. For example, when I enable AI, China ROM a will show me what it has detected (food, person, pet etc); global ROM doesn’t. Also, I find it easier to add the Leica border with the China ROM; had to hunt quite a bit for it on the global version.

China ROM are usually more feature-rich, but sometimes too "rich" and become bloat especially if you are not in China

Hi All,

Noob to Xiaomi phone and China ROM.

I am looking for a phone and saw that Xiaomi 13 fit my budget. In Shopee I saw merchant selling for 700+ which is within my budget.

Upon closer reading, they are Chinese ROM. The difference between Chinese ROM and Global ROM is like $400+.

I have read the last few pages of the forum here.

May I ask for those users with Chinese ROM, does your app especially banking app still works? With OCBC now even want to police our phone, I wonder will it still work.

Do I need to take note of anything when using China ROM Xiaomi 13?

Another concern with Chinese ROM I have are the merchants selling it. Wonder how many will honour the warranty.

As for Global ROM phone, may I know where can you get them? I went to EIN FB page and they only have Xiaomi 13 Ultra and no Xiaomi 13. The next place I can find them is in Red White Mobile.

In your opinion, which version is more worthwhile getting; China or Global ROM?

Thanks for reading till now.

China ROM is definitely better if you are comfortable with a bit of Chinese.

yes, yes, no. Why need to relock? Only way to lock is to reflash stock ROM
Coz I don't want to root it and want all the banking apps works without issue. Stock ROM as in global also can or die2 must the original CN rom assuming I bought the CN set? Thanks

Just buy global version if that's your concern.
That's my intention too but I just want to confirm if I bought CN set, can I flash global stock ROM and relock the bootloader? Or it has to be the stock CN ROM in order to relock it? Thanks.

Hi, I just bought the Mi 13u, found that the bottom screen is quite sharp, can feel it when I swipe it up, do you guys have the same feel or is my unit bottom screen got issue?

Update: there's factory applied SP (or TGSP), no wonder. 😅 Do you guys peel it off and replace it?

Thanks.
