That's good to know. I normally will buy phone and screen protector. But just read iPhone uses Samsung screen too. Wonder if next time have green lines or flashing issues or not. I am waiting for iPhone 15

Never heard of it for iphone's having green lightsaber among my peers.

Whereas I have many colleagues get green lightsaber on their samsung without even dropping it. Was told they got it after software update or somewhat, especially those using S20 series.

Yes, Apple care+ after 60 days you need to go down to Apple store and have them check out your phone before they allow you to purchase Apple care+. So yes, you can still buy Apple care+ directly from Apple when your 1yr warranty is about to expired, provided it pass Apple testing.

Now my question is, does Apple care 365 support international warranty? Can someone confirm this?

I could be wrong, but I've always seen/read that AC365 by Alabs etc are only for warranty within SG. Whereas Apple store standard AC+ is international.

So both AC365 from QCD and Alabs are only serviceable by them ONLY or Apple singapore also can?

I am pretty skeptical how a corporation with a tightly controlled repair program would allow a third party scheme access to its parts catalog and especially with assemblies like the “rear system” than through a scheme it controls and licenses. That is before considering the risk management part of a hardware insurance scheme and how the parts costing would come up in A.LAB/QCD’s perspective (i.e. S$42/$142 accidental service fee).

Therefore my point is if it these authorized repair partners’ scheme does register an AppleCare agreement number viewable in your device’s warranty status that’s the official AC+ usable in any known service location than a third party extended warranty program.

That is my experience with purchasing AC+ through authorized resellers when I’m abroad.

Maybe experts like adiboy can provide a definitive answer from Apple Orchard. ;)

not sure if this would help, but i bought AC365 from PS on the second last day of my first year official warranty (end September 2022)

now when i use my serial number to check apple coverage, it states applecare+ till 30 September 2024 for my iphone 13 pro max

i have every reason to believe it is the same coverage as official AC+ bought within 60 days

Just to check if did you provide your original purchase receipt/invoice when you got your AC365 from QCD? And did they mention you can only visit QCD for servicing? Or can bring to Apple store/Alabs?

Even with authorized reseller/service provider sold agreements, you get an official Apple AC+ agreement contract number blessed by Apple.

User may book appointments at genius bar or an authorized service provider to service their device via Apple Support app still. Change region and reserve an appointment, still works. It’s not a third party repair.

I got my care+ from ALabs last year with the 10% discount. I also received the official documentation from 

I am on NA variant with mmwave as I’m abroad for extended periods.
My 13m has a their authorized reseller sold AC+, even APP too.

Recently exercised ADP from AC+ and got a whitebox that appears to be new from Jewel.

No idea if authorized resellers can screen overseas phones for AC+, but Apple Stores can but I was quoted 2 business days for the AC+ purchase prompt to pop up in settings app after screening.

and do they still give 10% discount ?
A.LAB has 10% discount. But since they have closed their 2 physical stores the only way to purchase is to send in your phone to them for inspection via their courier which has a delivery fee. After that deliver back to you.

QCD no discount but they have physical store so your device can be brought down personally for them to inspect and issue AppleCare+ on the spot if it passes their inspection.

So A.LAB will take longer but you don’t need to travel down while QCD will be faster but need to travel down. Overall cost both about the same.

Didn't know Alab close all the physical stores. But i think most will forgo the 10% and get from QCD since you can get the phone back in that same appointment rather than a few days, esp those with just 1 phone.
