The english website usjticketing.com that USJ link you to is also a reseller managed by JTRWeb LTD. So its not official actually.

Buying direct from the Japanese website is official and u get instant confirmation... but the process is more arduous (in Japanese, setting up member login, etc). The only key issue now it seems, after I did some research, is it does not take foreign-issued credit cards. Some reddit comments claim they managed to & some don't ... using US/Aussie credit cards. So just wondering if anyone here managed to do so using a SG credit card and share their experience?
Heard Applepay is able to go thru. Anyway difference between getting from Official and getting on Klook is very little. Advantage is Express pass from official allow you to select your timed entry whereas from 3rd party is random, and they offer slightly more variations. If you are visiting on non-peak period, you probably might not even need timed entry or even express pass. I went in May and didn't require any timed entry for both HPW/SNW while most ride are well below 60mins wait.

Thanks. We got applepay set up and ready. Even applied for Amex just for this... Lol

Going in late Nov. Not a japan school holiday but still, its year end holidays for all the tourists like us. Last year, I had friends who went in Nov/Dec, couldn't get any express passes and it was super crowded. It's hard to gauge crowd movement using last year - given borders just open and people are getting out in droves. Hopefully, it trickles down this year (though I am not hopeful).

We are going in group of more than 4. USJ english website (usjticketing.com) only booking of 4 pax. We risk being split with different timings if we use that. Klook wise, I heard of people ending up with really really bad timings (e.g. SNW & HP back to back closely) or the group, if big, were split with different timings.

Only USJ Japan website allows bookings of more than 4 and you can choose your preferred timing. So I am exploring that option. Now trying to get a friend in Japan to see if he can help me pay using konbini (convenience store) option.

As per hkchew, yup only if you getting express passes then u got to take note the following for express pass timing wise:

1) For Klook, timing is auto assigned by them.
2) USJ Japan website can choose timing and no limit on no. of tickets but only accept Japan issued credit card from what I gathered.
3) USJ English website can choose timing but can only but up to 4 pax at one time. Only Apple Pay works so far based on what I gathered.

How is USJ crowd during weekdays? Still very crowded? Pre-pandemic I dont need to get express pass and could get to ride Harry Potter with not much waiting time.

Want to check with bro here, Can i buy "[Early Entry] + 1 Day Studio Pass" at klook but the express pass at official USJ website?
Reason is that if buy from klook, we cannot choose timing.
if buy from USJ Japan website can choose timing

Can i do that or all purchase must be from the same source?

If booking by klook, the addon for 60% no show refund (no question asked) is quite tempting. So if weather really lousy or unable to visit USJ, can claim back 60% of the cost.

Have anyone tried this claim before?

Is October considered peak or non-peak period?

This is useful. I have been manually collating wait times to see if express pass is really needed for usj.
so do you need USJ Express Pass?

I am going there in Mid Dec, super peak.

Am wondering even with paying so much for the Express Pass, would it still be like 2 hours per ride?

I'm going in mid Nov. November is actually the 2nd busiest month with the busiest in March. I'll be going on Wednesday. Based on past records, perhaps average waiting time is 45mins. I don't intend to get USJ express.

Your December is okay lah, my November is worst lol.

Should still be faster than normal queue.

I just purchased both USJ passes and express passes on the official website without any issue. I was surprised  that it works. I thought the payment might fail after reading some comments online that it does not take foreign issued cc.

YEAH!! 🥳 Now I have the express pass with my preferred timing.

I don't have iphone. I purchased the tickets on my pc and using DBS altitude visa cc.
