Am using MV2 without gms and playstore. Installed Teams, Whatsapp, Zoom and Outlook. All working great. Notifications wise, only Outlook dun show me new email notifications. But schedule notification somehow is working. I forced the 4 apps to run in background. Oh, OneDrive is working too.

Hi,after you installed WhatsApp, without GMS, how do you backup the whatsapp database for future transfer out?
Also, did u use the whatsapp<->whatsapp transfer initially?

Did u install any local banking apps to use? Do they work without being installed though Playstore?

back up is to the phone if i'm not wrong. i setup it up as a new phone without importing. Other than those i mentioned, i did not install anything else as i have another phone with those apps on it.

Android auto will not work in China android set. Same as how someone mentioned that forcing app to run in background is the way to go to get notifications. China sets limitations.

I asked my wife china colleage to help. Just get the sms code forwarded to me to register. The update will be till end of Sept.

I just receive my CMLink Sim Card today, activation is pretty fast and submit application for the 1CMN, approval was within few hours instead of the mentioned 5 days so I turn on the SMS and Call forwarding after login into my CMLink account.

I went to register the Honor ID in my Magic V2 also the Beta Club then fill up the form and submit so now waiting for the update of firmware.

Very interested in this phone after trading in my z fold 2 (screen started acting up after warranty ended.. About 16mths in). Had wanted to get the vivo x fold 2 but this honor v2 seems better.

Malaysia is selling the older v1 for about 1.7k sgd, if v2 is released for less than 2k I'll probably get it at launch..although global release is some time away

Trust me....V2 pricing should be around SGD$1.8k.......If you have been following the pricing between CN/MY....their pricing is almost the same so is MY/SG pricing.

v2 doesn't have VOLTE for Singapore, I think. One of their comments on FB was that they will work with the local telcos to enable it. That is IF they launch in SG.

Have a feeling they won't launch in sg, noticed that the few Chinese brand like vivo, oppo or honor don't launch their Flagship in sg, likely because demand here for the better phones not high. Just hope it will launch in msia and buy from there

Can check who can get 5G with this phone? Tried 2 sim cards that can get 5G with my pixel fold but when switch over to V2 only 4G. All setting enabled but no 5G.
