don't waste your money on TD, just get an Interactive Brokers account and save your fees.
It’s not about the app.
Is about it the broker.
consider interactive brokers
I think it’s important to not just look at fees at face value. But really understand the picture holistically.
there may be some fees for ibkr. But understand what it can offer vs others and see if it’s better to use it instead.
consider both tangible and intangible cost
Yea but it’s a different thing.
that one is whether you are used to and preference.
but in any case. I think UI/UX might be a consideration, but understand what the different brokers can offer is more important holistically.
AKA IBKR?It’s not about the app.

check out IBKR?I only use TOS for the order flow, time and sales and the ondemand feature
Which other broker offer these features like TD?

Strangely, I find tda app harder to useyes ibkr app is more complex
i doubt it is user-friendly to newbie
Can elaborate on save fees? The options fees on IBKR are more than TD Ameritrade. How to tweak on IBKR to save fees on options please?don't waste your money on TD, just get an Interactive Brokers account and save your fees.
Is Saxo good for options?now that TD is leaving i did see some brokers giving nice promo leh. see saxo one like not bad

What about open option positions? Can those be transferred over?i think only waive for full withdrawal. why you still want to keep your funds there ?
from TD site
For full account withdrawals of funds, TD Ameritrade Singapore will waive the transfer out fee. You can select a full account withdrawal in the withdrawal section in Account Center, by selecting the Full Account Withdrawal check box. Note we may reserve the right to charge a wire fee for partial wire withdrawal requests.
TD Ameritrade's DTC number is 0188. This is the number you would use to transfer U.S. listed securities. You may also see references to "ACATS," the securities transfer process that U.S. capable brokers use.Anyone know what is the broker clearing number of tdameritrade sg? Was filling the acats form at syfe but no idea what is this field?
U.S. brokers such as Interactive Brokers LLC (U.S.) and Chicago-based Firstrade are members of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC). SIPC member accounts are insured up to US$500,000 (of which up to US$250,000 can be in cash). Variations on account titling can effectively multiply this coverage, and your U.S. broker will happily explain how you can do that. Brokers in Singapore and in most other countries are not covered by any account/deposit insurance.US brokers safe? Nay same same.
Yes.IBKR got flaw. I want to change SGD 5 to USD IBKR allow?
No, probably not. I would investigate Interactive Brokers and Firstrade as possible alternatives. Is Saxo good for options?
Is Firstrade regulated by MAS?No, probably not. I would investigate Interactive Brokers and Firstrade as possible alternatives.
Why do you say no to Saxo please? I do have IBKR, but when comparing with TD Ameritrade, IBKR charged more fees for options. No, probably not. I would investigate Interactive Brokers and Firstrade as possible alternatives.
No. Firstrade Securities is regulated by FINRA, the U.S. regulator for broker-dealers. Firstrade is also a member of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC), so its accounts are SIPC insured. Is Firstrade regulated by MAS?
Well how does zero commissions sound? That's Firstrade's offer. But since TD Ameritrade will no longer be available to retail investors shortly you'll have to find another broker. It doesn't matter if that broker is less attractive than TD Ameritrade used to be if TD Ameritrade is no longer available. S$1 plates of chicken rice no longer exist either (as far as I know). That doesn't mean a S$2 plate of chicken rice is bad.Why do you say no to Saxo please? I do have IBKR, but when comparing with TD Ameritrade, IBKR charged more fees for options.
Do I really have to submit latest statement for verification for first time withdrawal? Thanks!
So just reply to the email and attached the bank statement will do?
Did you transfer to IBKR by any chance? How do you go about getting IBKR to issue an ACAT if you dont mind sharing?yup just submitted. i forgot txn code also and the online link to reset doesnt work. so still need call in to reset my code
