It’s not a risk, it’s a void for sure. Your only option is Apple if you want your warranty and quality assured genuine parts intact, just pay up.
i bought my 13 pro at launch so there’s no limited warranty at all either. Is there even any benefit to do my repairs under apple then

Yes there is, quality assured oled panels with True Tone functioning and waterproof seal properly replaced on top of a 90 day warranty on the repair.

Third party shops tend to use inferior panels or even lcd replacements, but of course all of them will swear on the same Apple OEM panel from Apple’s factory bullsh*t.

But if you’re price sensitive and not too quality sensitive, then you do save a pretty penny going third party instead. Apple’s screen replacements are $$$$.

I see some places say they only replace the glass on top of the original panel like mister mobile. Do they actually do that or just use a preassembled part from China.

It depends, if you’re lucky then only the glass above the screen might be broken and they can do something like that.

Is 14pro/max camera's 48MP much improvement to 12MP? Not sure if its worth switching to 14pro/max.

For most people, I doubt it. You can read this article on what using the 48mp camera means for a photographer. Unless you are the kind who likes to zoom in on photos, you probably won't see much of a benefit because a lot of the detail is lost once you upload to WhatsApp or social media anyways. It also takes up more space and drains battery faster.

There is also a camera app which let you use the 48mp camera directly, but it's not cheap also.

So yes, there is a benefit, but most people don't need it, and are better served sticking with the default 12mp camera.

If i were you I will wait for the 15's since it's just 6 months away.

Personally coming from the 11's & skipping 2 gens, the upgrade was pretty prominent. 😁

Waa my i13 not yet 1 year already drop to 93% battery life liao
Smaller capacity usually could mean more charge cycles so the wear out is faster than those models with bigger battery.

My iP13 is about 19 months old already with 86% capacity.

Light usage no problem. Usually left with >20% after 8am-7pm work. Will top-up charge in the afternoon if in office and doing some heavy usage (hotspot).

Replacement depends on you, some people are anal about their battery, I don't care as I haven't faced any emergency related to battery and I have a power bank that can top-up charge if I do.

My 14pm usually 6pm left about 30-35%, so sounds about right for non-pro models.

Thinking to upgrade to ip13 or ip14 or if there is a ipSE3 but battery life/health is a concern 😀
