Hi all,

I would like to check with you all on something. Currently, my next quarter for the cash back is Nov-Dec-Jan (not using the card for this quarter).

My statement date is on the 2nd Nov, 2nd Dec, and 2 Jan.

To qualify for cash back for the Nov-Dec-Jan quarter, which of the following is correct?

1. I need to hit 500 dollars spend each by 2nd Nov, 2nd Dec and 2nd Jan statement

2. I need to spend 500 dollars in calendar month of Nov, Dec and Jan each. (This was what the CSO of UOB told me after I called them, but I always thought the card goes by statement date?)

Hoping to get some information from the people here! Thank you!

1 is correct.

Tier 1 Minimum Spend means, in respect of each Statement Month for the Quarter, a total of at least S$500 but less than S$1,000 worth of Card Transactions comprising at least 5 Card Transactions.

so it means in this case, to qualify for Nov-Dec-Jan, since my statement is on the 2 Nov (at the beginning of the month), I should already start using the card in Oct, so that the statement on 2nd Nov will fulfill the 500 dollars spend (which is the statement month for Nov)?

I believe your card was approved in August (you should have receive an SMS from UOB, and then subsequently receive the physical card in your letterbox about 1 week later).

The month your card was approved is the month where the quarter starts. So 1st quarter is Aug, Sep, Oct. The statement date/cycle is assigned by the bank so since you mentioned yours is 2nd of each month, the first statement cycle is until 2nd Sep.

For the 2nd quarter, the first statement cycle should be from 3rd Nov to 2nd Dec, second statement cycle from 3rd Dec to 2nd Jan, third statement cycle from 3rd Jan to 2nd Feb. I am only 90% certain, so maybe others can chime in.

You’re right! I got my card in august, and requested to change the statement date to the 2nd of every month.

And yes, for the 2nd quarter, the first statement cycle should be from 3rd Nov to 2nd Dec, and so on and so for.

I’m just confused if the statement cycle is 3rd Nov to 2nd Dec, does that mean that I should only try to get my 2nd Dec statement to hit 500? Or should it be the 2nd Nov statement.

To me it only make sense to be clocking the spending from 3rd Nov to 2nd Dec instead of 3rd Oct to 2nd Nov, meaning $500 by 2nd Dec statement. But as mentioned earlier I’m only 90% certain.

yes, assuming the MCC is not excluded. MCC varies depending which merchant/voucher.

Not counted for cashback is as good as missing that month, therefore missing that quarter

Moved over to using UOB Evol, so didn’t use UOB One for past year. As a result, this year’s annual fee not waived. Anyone encounter annual fee for UOB One card not waived too?

Gonna cancel the card zzz

So got my Uob card 23 june. I guess my cashback quarter is June,July, aug

29 sept got : one card additonal rebate $97.53

29 sept got one card enhanced rebate $126.06

30 sept got: uob one cash rebate bill redemption $100

what is the meaning of each ? Will I get any more cashback for my first quarter Uob one card ?

there is no way check the detailed cashback unless ownself calculate from every transaction ?

I believe I have been spending $1k ,$1k and $1k. Earlier I didnt realize sp bill won’t count towards the qualifying spend 500/1k/2k . So not sure if I hit $500 tier or 1k tier

U hit $1k tier therefore "uob one cash rebate bill redemption $100"

"one card additonal rebate $97.53" is for the bonus 1% for SP and 5% on selected merchants

"29 sept got one card enhanced rebate $126.06" is for 5% bonus on selected merchants for new sign up

How did you pay your SP bill ?
Uob one card lor.i did Recurring payment through sp app.

then I also went down toa payoh sp office and paid lumpsump to help cobtribute to the spending without being aware that it wont qualify for the 500/1k/2k spent. But somehow that month I had more expense I think I eventually hit 1k even without sp bill

SP should qualify for spend. Even give 1% extra.

You sure it is SP that did not make it ?

I am not sure about recurring using SP app. I usually do one-time and at TP office.
