Hi all, is it true that i really have to print out hardcopy for the qr code for esim and i can only scan it when i arrive in the destination of the country only when i get wifi?
Is it possible to scan the qr code in Singapore 1 day before first? And then activate it when i reach my destination countries? Because some places im worry wont have wifi when i arrive.
And also I do not have a spare phone to store the qr code and most of the time i am travelling alone.

SInce you do not have spare device then yes, have to print and make sure to test scan working first.
And yes, need Wifi to activate the eSIM. Some requires activating after reaching destination country while some allow prior to reaching and activates after.
Best to check w provider for clarity. What eSIM are you getting/gotten though so its easier to advise.

eSim like Airalo and Ubigi can be set up one day before you fly. They will only be activated when they are connected to your destination network.

Airalo is it reliable? I saw the currency online is in USD, seems like is a company based in US.

Where are you going though, SIMBA should be convenient and good enough for most places in SEA/EA.

eSIM IIRC not able to read from device photo album, need to "scan" physically.

ehh, you need to sign up eSIM w them for SuperRoam 50GB (30 Days/90 Days) since you need it in the next few months.
My experiences using SIMBA for these countries was great, reliable and quick enough for usage.

thats the mafan part.. as i only have 1 phone by myself... seems like have to print out.. bobian..
Oh well, I would have thought having 2 devices (i.e. personal & work) minimally is common nowadays. hahahah

SIMBA is great. But only used their roaming data for Msia before only 😬

You know where to view the pricing for malaysia esim, korea esim etc? I tried finding it on website, but they only provide the malaysia details, and is those monthly 100gb one. i just need like esim data for 5 days kind.

Sorry, just to check. The esim superroam 50GB is only 10GB of data a month in countries other than malaysia right? I dont see any option with more than 10GB of data or unlimited data overseas (thailand/taiwan etc)

10GB - AU, ID, TH, TW, VN/month.
