Anyone has 5 Ghz Wi-Fi issues? The connection keeps dropping but when I switched to 2.4 Ghz. The connection is stable.

Try change your 5GHz channel, maybe congested.

Or just go and change the display size (not font size) in the settings.

I find the 2nd notch works for me while font size remains default.

I was at the second smallest for Font Size and the smallest for Display. This was my setting on the Pixel 7 Pro and it was fine for me. But on the Pixel 8 Pro, this same setting is somehow smaller... Had to bumped the Display up to the second notch.

Just realized that on the smallest Display setting, my File Explorer (Solid Explorer) displays two columns of files. Whereas on the second smallest Display setting, it displays only a single column.

Any reviews from the P8P users after a week or 2 of usage? Saw like slow charging and like heating up issues.

Still thinking on whether to pull the trigger for it as my new phone.

I wouldn't say that charging is slow on Pixel 8. It's just not super fast like other Android phones. iPhones don't charge super fast too.

Personally, I charge overnight. So charging speed is a non issue for me.

And, adaptive charging helps to extend battery life. Yes, fast charging is convenient, but it comes with a price.

No display size is middle notch for me. Basically one more click from default.

So now all Singtel SIM card by default is Class C (1.8V)? Or how do we know what class of sim card we have?

Interesting that there is such difference for the SIM card.

I got mine late, and found out that my Singtel SIM card is not supported by Pixel 8 Pro like some folks previously say. Had to go to Singtel to physically change to a 3-series number SIM card. Then it works.

WiFi
2.5M @ ~940 Mbps - pixel 8 pro
0.5M @ ~940 Mpbs - pixel 6 pro

5G
900++ Mbps with 1-2 bar -Pixel 8 Pro
100-900 , intermittent ,rarely getting 2 bar,

i don't recall Google Pixel has this option in recovery mode.

My Whatsapp don't by default download pic and video one, but when I press on the pic to download, I have to wait between 3-10 seconds before it actually start download.

This happens on both wifi and 5G, and everywhere, means every wifi and every 5G tower.

I've cleared whatsapp cache, changed to fixed mac from dynamic mac, basically done a lot and still liddat.

Before I delete whatsapp and re-download, anyone got pointers?

Isn't that a setting you can toggle to allow automatic download in the apps settings ?
I normally set only pictures to auto download for mobile data. Wi-Fi everything download.
