On hindsight you should have only installed the eSIM only after your old SIM card has no network (indicating that port over is completed), similar like how you should not insert your new SIM card before your old SIM card has no network, so as to avoid issues with temporary number affecting iMessage/FaceTime.

Anyway since you already have the issue due to premature install of eSIM, you may want to try this to see if it resolves the issue.

Thanks usually for physical sim port in, in recent years I’ll pop it in spare phone to avoid this issue. Until it’s fully ported. Then I pop the sim into my main phone.

as per to Vivifi’s faq instructions here . I got to activate the Sim or esim before MNP(mobile number porting). Hence I’m caught in such situation.

I think you're confused with the activation of eSIM with Vivifi vs the activation of eSIM on your phone.

Follow this overall guide.
https://help.vivifi.me/hc/en-us/articles/1500000335401-Guide-on-Mobile-Number-Porting-New-Customers-

1) Submit mobile number porting request.

2) Activate SIM/eSIM with Vivifi.

If you have signed up using Singpass, click here for info on activation.
If you have signed up using a manual here, click here for info on activation.

3) Activate eSIM on your phone once number porting is completed (when old SIM has no more signal).

Actually this way might not work also. I remembered last thur afternoon I activated my sim card. Around 11.30pm at night my old m1 sim card already no network so i switched to new sim card, but porting not done yet. Porting only completed around 4pm on Friday afternoon so I was stuck with the temporary number so that I can still use data for work.

Hence I got caught in the temporary number affecting the imessage facetime issue.

I think a good way to decide when to put in the new sim card is to check on vivifi website that porting already completed instead of just checking old sim card no network then change to sim card.

But the old sim already no network, put in new sim at least can use.
Yes but the context of the conversation was to prevent the imessage/FaceTime issue being stuck to the temporary number for iPhone users.

Anyone having OTP Issues?
Just ported over from giga to vivifi.
Did not receive from UOB and DBS.

Any work around? I saw that we need to wait 5 to 10 days?

For the 3months free 5G trial for the Vibe plan, is there a waiting period before it is activated? Got the sim activated on Friday, but till now I am unable to connect to the 5G network. I'm on pixel 7 if that matters.

Hi, I got a bit confused.

I applied for eSIM and submit porting in early Tue. Am I supposed to wait for the porting without doing anything?

thanks

once you get your Esim, it should be active with a temp no. Porting is transparent and take place 2-3 business day. Probably wed tonight or tomorrow for you.

https://help.vivifi.me/hc/en-us/art...eSIM-Collected-your-physical-SIM-What-s-next-

eSIM users:

1. Activate the eSIM online at activate.vivifi.me.

2. Log in to your VIVIFI account and click on Manage > SIM Management to view the eSIM QR.
The esim is successfully port in from other telco, but there is no number shown in esim profile. It stated unknown. I had drop email to them hope the technical team look into this matter. But if you guys can help that will be grateful.
